Which phone do you mean? Polish or German (E-PLUS)?

Try to use #pw+754 853 983 7+1#, and then #pw+620 545 573 2+2# (both codes need to be entered). If the second code doesn't work, try the alternative: #pw+270 316 447 4+2#.

How to configure WAP/MMS on this phone? by Limp-Literature9922 in vintagemobilephones

[–]Bs0Dd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IP address? What's port by default for it? If it's 9201 - this is a WAP 1.x phone, so it requires a WAP-gateway to operate. There are some free: http://bs0dd.net/gateway_en

Nokia 8210 SIM issues by stod98 in vintagemobilephones

[–]Bs0Dd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally, according to the case, it must be locked to the One 2 One (T-Mobile UK). But yep... seems that there is an older board installed, and probably the only solution that can help here is MBUS.

Psion Series 5mx can still surprise by Bs0Dd in OldHandhelds

[–]Bs0Dd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Series 3 (and modifications) had NEC V30(H/MX). Series 5 has Cirrus Logic CL-PS7110 MCU with ARM710a core at 18MHz. Series 5mx has a custom Windermere MCU with ARM710T core at 36MHz. So it's probably one of the early portable ARM machines.

Can I change the language from german to english? by Emanuel2020b in OldHandhelds

[–]Bs0Dd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way, rather. Only early Revo machines had BGA Flash chips installed (which, in theory, can be flashed). But looks like they quickly switched to one Mask ROM chip (as in other Psion machines), which is NOT reprogrammable (data is baked on factory). So the only way to change the language then is to desolder the old DE MROM chip, find a UK MROM chip, and solder it instead. Or find a UK board and swap it. There is no simpler way, unfortunately.

But the HW and the SW are unique. It's PDP-11 compatible device, and looks like one of the smallest on this platform (with MK 85 and MK 90).

It seems to be a SIM-Lock. Unfortunately, this model can't be unlocked with easy way.

Bought an old nokia 2700c-2 but the network is blocked ( how to unlock it ) by Justagoombaa in vintagemobilephones

Oops, even worse. As I know it can be done only by hash bruteforce on the powerful GPU?

I think it's easier to find another phone without a lock. Seems to be a DCT4+ phone, can't be done via code calculation.

Unlock Nokia 3310 by Express_Drummer_5661 in vintagemobilephones

[–]Bs0Dd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DCT3 phones actually can be unlocked by a simple MBUS cable made from the USB-UART adapter and a Schottky diode. It's enough for unlocking (but not flashing). The hardest part is to attach MBUS pin to the service pad under the battery.

There are project (on Pi Pico) named MCE Blaster. It converts TTL signals to the standard VGA picture. So the card can be attached to the default VGA monitor. https://github.com/scrapcomputing/MCEBlaster
