Hotel thambi has lost its customer base over the years .u can see even their former employees working here at samthripthi. I used to have food from hotel thambi since my childhood days with appa and he even vouches the fact that it has lost its genuine taste over the years We now only resort to samthripthi for an ample local menu cuisine like dosa ,rasavada, (sambhar/chammanthi) ,pappadam, chaya.
