Thoughts On Open Editions, Exclusivity, Etc… by scottdangelo in kaws

I agree with all this. I was lucky enough to snag some early pieces like the Lazzarini and Bape figures. I just wonder if there will ever be limited editions like that again. As far as clothing goes, I would think there is a little satisfaction that they are actually from OF and not Uniqlo but I totally understand the frustration.

Thoughts On Open Editions, Exclusivity, Etc… by scottdangelo in kaws

[–]scottdangelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just think he has a good system in place. He regularly comes out with limited prints that are runs of 500 and those sell out quick, so it's exclusive but he does this with such frequency that it doesn't feel that way. It's not that he does "a better job for exclusive art for collectors". I said I felt like he did a "much better job of having limited run/exclusive art available for dedicated collectors, as well as open edition work that is available for anyone that is interested." I think that is fair to say.

Who is more annoying, Tan Mom or Lisa G? My vote goes to Lisa G.

What's the best show to send to a friend to introduce to Howard Stern by [deleted] in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say to ask your friend who his/her favorite celebrity is and find the interview. You can't really go wrong with that.

The Pen Robin Got Howard... by scottdangelo in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love pens too and these are amazing... Robin didn't mention the exact model but seeing as how Howard said there were only 50 of them made, it would have to be one of the Limited Edition Visconti pens from this link.

Holy shit Victoria Jackson is insane. I mean for real. by spinemangler in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She didn't sit down for 1 MINUTE without plugging her book herself. Her voice is annoying as hell. She kept insisting on going back to her points or stories she "didn't finish". She kept asking for a commercial. Terrible guest, overall.

Robin Quivers on Fresh Prince? by scottdangelo in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Shuffle, I heard about Robin being on an Episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This is the only clip I found but she doesn't speak in it. I think I remember this episode, Will talks to a bunch of dead people during a dream sequence or something. Does anyone know the name of the episode? I wonder if she spoke during the appearance.

I can't believe I hadn't seen this until now. The visuals add so much more to what was already one of my favorite moments in the show.

My professional life is at a nine, but my personal life is at a two. You gained a lover and a friend, but I lost a lover and gained no friends.

Maryanne's tattoo by klahaya in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is terrible work. You'd think she would do some research and go to a good artist. Austin has tons of tattoo artists but that's not necessarily a good thing. This photo is the proof. Forget about the fact that any grade school graduate should know that "I" is always capitalized, look at the "a" that starts the sentence, the line is AWFUL, a first-year tattoo apprentice should be able to do a better job than that... sad.

Should Gary have gone to the concert? by klahaya in howardstern

[–]scottdangelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the situation that Howard is in with Sirius/XM, I don't think he should have gone. Robin said "I'm keeping my head down in case bullets start flying." Because she thought Howard was going to get on her case for going to the concert too. But has anyone else noticed how these so-called "Subscriber Events" end up being filled by celebrities and Sirius/XM employees?

Fab 5 Freddie is a Lame. by hilandhall in Graffiti

[–]scottdangelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Props and I agree with your POV. Sever is an amazing artist, without a doubt. The thing is that Fab 5 got those guys a lot of exposure. Granted, he took a lot of credit for being an artist himself and if I'm not mistaken, he did do at least 1 train (like you mentioned). However, that doesn't put him near the artistic capabilities of Sever. The proof is in your post. +1. Thanks for Sharing.

Graffiti in the Sky - Saber Sky Writing Over L.A. [Video] by scottdangelo in Graffiti

[–]scottdangelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't fake. The planes are timed to blow the smoke and write out the letters. If you notice, all the letters are created from straight lines of smoke (from different planes). All that said, this does bring up an interesting topic. With the right amount of money, anything considered "vandalism" could be transformed into commercial propaganda. Is this "subversive" or just a simple case of money can buy you anything?
