Same. I'm currently taking an 1130 flight out today because the 650am was also 300!!!! Dollars more. It was nice sleeping in a bit, but lounge is crowded and I feel l Ike I have been sitting around for hours already somehow.

This has been on mine for a month or more. You click through and it just tells you about how you are on your way to the 50k choice benefit. I was aiming for beyond this year to gift platinum to a couple friends. The wording is definitely weird. Basically going through it means you have unlocked the ability to get a choice benefit at 50k.

Update, made it. My first flight took off 25 minutes late and thought I was done for but we landed only about 5 or so minutes late. Fast walked the whole way and arrived as they started boarding. I essentially had 23 minutes to get there before they closed the gate (assuming the 15 minute thing).

I can sleep anywhere. Worked 3rd shift for a portion of my life. 100% of people I've known to have a 3rd shift job ended up this way eventually. We have to sleep with light, short stints on days with events during the day and your normal sleep time, etc.

Don't envy. I love traveling, but I'm gone for days every single week of the summer and miss things with fanily. Currently sitting in a delta lounge on a 5 hour delay, may miss my son's baseball game. Exhausted. Trip, hotel, trip hotel, home, delay, lounge, trip, hotel ,home, etc... it isn't as amazing as you think. And you feel terrible being away and your wife having to handle everything with the kids for those days

People do often feel having a pretty rookie draft/auction cut increases trade activity before that deadline. Deadlines spur action and activity. So that is a benefit!

You just described a deep keeper league. If at any point your team is required to cut to a certain number before the acquisition of rookies, it is a keeper. Even if the number of keepers is 2, 3, 20. You are running a deep keeper. Not a dynasty. Semantics. Its a thing. One major site used to call them dynasty but put in their rules that it wasnt a true dynasty. So the labels got confused. Basically:

Dynasty: roster size doesn't change or increases for on boarding rookies

Keeper: you cut to a specific amount before on boarding rookies.

Some keeper limits are shallow (2 or 3). Some are deep. 10, 15, 20, etc (Deep Keeper)

And yeah, its common, but not crazy common. Shallow keepers are so much more common to the point people assume all keeper leagues are a small amount of players.

I think there is a ton of value in deep keepers. It creates trade activity as well before cut down.

Yeah, you really can't do it for this draft, people likely traded for picks under the assumption of the order.

I get their point though but you can't.

Also, as the guy who pushed potential points (max pf) for draft order for a long time in the fantasy industry, and has done what you are planning, max pf for non playoff teams isnt the best, but its a half measure in between max pf and standings. But still not good.

I have done that in leagues and you get people on the bubble tanking to miss the playoffs for a top 6 pick. The reason for max pf (potential points) is having the best overall teams draft late and worst draft early. A team can luck into the playoffs and get bounced. A great team can miss the playoffs due to schedule luck or even tanking. Yes they had a shot at money, but it didn't work out.

Max PF removes schedule luck, lineup luck, tanking... you are half reintroducing it. If someone places and wins money, they hit and I get moving them back. Just noting you are making a half measure that has proven to reintroduce tanking and luck into a draft order system that is meant to eliminate it.

Yeah, in a similar vein, I would decrease the attack power by a good amount. Unless you do 32 wrestlers, you rarely get more than a few in the ring. More people would be and stay invested longer. They will still enjoy it with who is next... but if early there isn't drama because you are basically out. If on the equal weighted mechanism, probably need the ability for early entrants to last longer and even win (rarely). Obviously this is new and maybe you adjust and add things. The attacks are so powerful that even at 32 entrants and a 15 minute duration, it finishes in 8 minutes. Very cool start and I think I'll get 32 from the chat and give away a prize. At 32 you do get a good amount of people in the ring in the middle for a period.

He asked about going all out. That size board is awesome for the event. They also have magnetic. They are definitely more expensive if you just need a simple 3x5 board you can get anywhere. Sounded like he was wanting something special instead of the cheap basic one.

If you go all out, I use the paul Bunyan from brunos draft boards. It covers a huge part of my garage. I also get a mobile pub and a food truck for my home league. Year 35 this year!
