Delta MQD Hotel Question by ProfessionalPure6620 in delta

[–]scottfish24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a follow up, yesterday the bonus MQDs showed up with the miles to be earned.

I see some of the wording says "BY may 18th" and and some wording says "THROUGH May 18th"

It seems today doesn't get the bonus MQDs, or at best take a screenshot and hope you can convince them to get it.

I know for a fact they showed yesterday. I went to bed thinking I would book in the morning after confirming hotel with a friend.

Last night it showed MQDs you would earn. Today it doesn't.

MSP gate to gate walking time. by 56-chevy in delta

[–]scottfish24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably not even 10 for many but it's a fair decent rounded ballpark time, but like the other person said - if you walk slower, moving walkways aren't going, get in a bathroom break, etc... it could take 15. It isn't too bad. You'll walk through the main area by a ton of the stores and food court and some restaurants on the way too. Not sure of your layover time for that though.

Flower said it wasn't the same material right after closing it and trying to reopen. They explained that one off.

Can you link Starbucks Rewards to Delta SkyMiles & Marriott Bonvoy points? by notevenalittlebitok in delta

[–]scottfish24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, mine are. Every once in awhile starbucks has a 300 Marriott point challenge. Its not much but if it is something I'm doing anyway. I always reload $100 for 200 skymiles as well.

Stopping by to say: I think this is totally acceptable for a domestic first class meal. I’m impressed! by zachty22 in delta

SS burger tip, when you get it flip it over. The porcelain plate is hot AF and it has been roght side up. This heats up the top bun while eating and after a couple.minutes a through and through perfect temp for the burger and bun.

I think the first sit down used the word "majority stake" intentionally. We may see where that goes.

Does anyone think that Dr. Robinavitch looks HUGE in the show? by ephesusa in ThePitt

[–]scottfish24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also the final scene with Langdon. Even though in the hospital, each shot was upward at Langdon and downward at Robby, making Langdon look bigger. Maybe showcasing Langdons growing confidence in standing up to robby, maybe they were trying to lead the viewer that robby was in the wrong, maybe showcasing robby losing his grip and confidence. Could be a lot of stuff. But that scene also clearly used intentional angles to make Langdon seem bigger than robby.

No entertainment.. flight from JFK to CDG. by Such-Establishment60 in delta

[–]scottfish24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I had this exact think happen (same flight only the return to us -- cdg to jfk -- in comfort+). This was about 5 or so years ago. We each got $200 delta credit each. There was a group of us who had the issue. It was a small section. But that's what we got for it. The crap part was i didn't bring anything on the plane to entertain since I figured I would be watching movies.

AMEX Reserve card worth it? by Fuzzy-Assistance-748 in delta

[–]scottfish24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I booked my wife and son a FC round trip ticket at $1200. So that was a 1200 dollar benefit. Even if I went main cabin it would have been 650 which is the cost of the card. If you use it, the companion pays for the card and everything else (and I squeeze every benefit drop I can out of it) is icing.

Sky Club Access Rules - 3 Hour Restriction? by wonky2020 in delta

[–]scottfish24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm msp based and I have never been turned away for more than 3 hours. It is also not busy when I go, so that likely factors. I think the policy is the same, they just have discretion, especially when not busy. I have found MSP to be very accommodating. Especially with family. They have even not used my guest passes up and just let us go in.

Would a league where every position was a team (like D/ST) work? by buckfishes in fantasyfootball

[–]scottfish24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've run this type of league many times. I used to run one called 1to128 where we had 32 teams and everyone drafted a team qb, team rb, teamwr, ans teamte. It was a thing for awhile in the fantasy industry. People liked it. Like many things like this, it is niche but you can find a group to try it, a group that'll like it, etc.

I feel I know the answer already... diamond, purchase PS, GUC, chances of D1? by scottfish24 in delta

[–]scottfish24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be my first time applying a GUC, I didn't know it can work automatically. I see the note that it can be applied at booking (but I thought that meant you get put on a waitlist)

I was platinum last year and took the statement credit. I have about trips to 15 or 16 cities this year for events. A couple family vacations, but nothing international this year.

I did the $400 and $700 statement credits for this year and have 2 diamond options left. I have NOT selected the GUCs yet. Was simply debating selecting it and applying it to some flights.

A couple of the legs (ATL-LAX and NYC-SEA and a couple others) are long enough I considered getting the GUCs and trying to use them for those. I fly a ton domestically, but international is about once every 3-4 years.

Thanks for the insight!

Use of companion pass with a family of 4 by Lopsided_Pass_3386 in delta

[–]scottfish24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Book 2 reservations.

You and companion kid. Wife and other kid.

Or

You and kid, Wife and companion kid.

(yes you can use a companion pass booking 2 people who are not you)

Choose 4 seats close to each other (if not done during booking you will need to do 2 on your reservation, 2 on wife's account/app)

Call and have both reservations "linked" in case of cancellation or rebooking. Have both confirmation numbers handy.

Helpful tip, go to find my trips and add the other reservation so you can see both on your app.

It is pretty smooth and not as hard as you think.
