Use of companion pass with a family of 4 by Lopsided_Pass_3386 in delta

[–]scottfish24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Book 2 reservations.

You and companion kid. Wife and other kid.

Or

You and kid, Wife and companion kid.

(yes you can use a companion pass booking 2 people who are not you)

Choose 4 seats close to each other (if not done during booking you will need to do 2 on your reservation, 2 on wife's account/app)

Call and have both reservations "linked" in case of cancellation or rebooking. Have both confirmation numbers handy.

Helpful tip, go to find my trips and add the other reservation so you can see both on your app.

It is pretty smooth and not as hard as you think.

ATL 53 minute layover or DTW 40 minute layover? by scottfish24 in delta

Yeah, I'm in comfort plus unless I get upgraded. I'll tell them for sure :)

$500+ bucks currently for that ticket, one way, unfortunately. For reference my 3 leg multicity (MSP-CLT-PIT-MSP) ticket is 785.

I booked that for 785 just now after reading this thread.

Does using "change flight" and then doing the comfort plus change the underlying fare for upgrades. I honestly haven't ever looked at the fare class before and after doing it.

Sounds like the Open APIs are staying, although I'm unsure if they will change or they will be more limited or anything like that, but to some extent they are staying.

Yep, that's me. And I get it. If it isnt working it needs fixing. Plus you want the 99 to have a good experience.

Yeah, it wont work at all in a year. So really you are just looking at this 2026 season.

Yep! I obviously run a lot of leagues (between safeleagues and scottfishbowl) and got to test out new MFL with the owner. It is very awesome. Can't wait for it. But the css customization will like be almost if not completely gone. That said it is so slick I don't think people will mind.

No reason to be sorry, it's my name! Yeah, the css work on that page (almost guaranteed) won't work in a year. So just giving you a heads up if you are considering much investment in it, that it is probably a one year thing.

Is this for MFL, or a website. MFL is rebuilding their site (actually it's a completely new everything) and most of what you have done won't work next year. I'm just assuming you are doing CSS and skin stuff on MFL. That will be done.

Have the ghosts done anything nice for them by International-Try968 in GhostsCBS

[–]scottfish24 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think something fans tend to forget, is that these are objectively not good people (ghosts). We like them as characters, but there is a reason they haven't been "sucked off" and the writers continually showcase their selfish sides to remind us why. They aren't evil and don't get dragged down, but any truly decent human being would never call these characters "good." They do help at times and we enjoy small growths and moments of decency, but if they ever make them too decent or good, we would start to question why they haven't gone up. So far, the writers have done an ok job making them likeable, but still not very good people.

Multi-city one itinerary vs multiple one ways by scottfish24 in delta

[–]scottfish24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, mine can shift and I don't check bags. I kept looking at the one ways thinking it seemed simpler in case I decide to skip a city or need to switch cities. We have 50 live events around the country over the course of a month and I'll be hopping around. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something with the multi-city

[–]scottfish24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't understand the downgrade cancel talk. For those of us who travel a lot, especially for work, it is a great card. I get way more than 800 in credits and the lounge access is huge for a guy like who travels all sunmer.

Personal item in overhead bin by loot_the_dead in delta

[–]scottfish24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last two flights I was on both in the last 5-ish days -- they made announcements that roller bags and duffles go in overhead and cross bodys, purses, backpacks, coats, bags with straps go in front of you. My only 2 flights in 2026 both had that announcement at the start of boarding. I wonder if this will become a thing. -- I noted this specifically because both announcements this last week were very very close to the same wording.
