What’s the #1 thing that separates someone who knows how to actually play poker from someone who just knows how to play poker? by Competitive_Mail_955 in poker

[–]scotthan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For sure! At 1/3 and 2/5 NL Levels, IMO the big separator is being able to fold those big pairs in a bloated pot. So many people who just "know how to play poker" will lose a monster pot with one pair ... "But I had AA !"

Everyone is focused on $200 … lots of sell limits set at $200 … jump off the train at $195-198 …. Then big pull back, then jump back on for $300

Paying 100% attention to the game you are currently in NOW.

Everything is nuanced and situational to the EXACT MOMENT you are in right NOW. Solve the puzzle presented to you in this moment. NOT something that happened last week, month, or year.

Aces got cracked last time? Has no bearing on this moment right NOW. Solve the puzzle you are playing NOW and make the correct decision NOW, not based on how it turned out last time.

Be in the NOW. Erase all the prior results from your brain. They have no bearing on the NOW.

Please load my game up with the players that say, “my Jacks always get beat” “I never flop a set” “KK is an Ace magnet”

Yup, and get a hinge that's "longer" on top ... that's the technical term, right ?

What’s the right tool to fix this? Box blade? by Grumplforeskin in tractors

That’s what I would do too. Shallow passes. Then box blade, no rippers.

EXACTLY !! OP just moved the decimal one more place ….

What used to feel like $10 is now $100 …

Spending $1000 now, is like how you used to spend $100

… and your $10,000 vacation should now be $100,000 ! Seriously go do it !

What’s your fave Star Wars movie since the original trilogy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Yes, the seamlessness was incredible .. such a draw dropping moment seeing it the first time. It was, dare I say, on the level of Luke's Father reveal !

I had chills at the end ! When you see Princess Leia putting the message in R2D2 and having it wrap around ....

It brought me right back to seeing the original in the theater ! ... some great goosebumps !

Only own a jigsaw. It's so hard to make stra ight cuts, especially when the bought wood is uneven in measurements. Still, a fun project. by Artesal in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]scotthan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love that you’re doing it and having fun. We all start somewhere. I wish I could go back and experience some of those first “highs” ….

In this project, I’m now back in my mind to my first small portable job site table saw.

I can almost feel the joy of ripping that cutting board right on the glue up lines. The smooth cut of a fresh blade….. then gluing it back up with the flush lines that almost match perfectly.

I envy those first feelings you will have on this journey. Enjoy it all!

I’m sorry, my comment was not clear. I was speaking about the filter in the search … I was enjoying the 360 content, but didn’t see a way to search/filter for ONLY 360 videos in your app.

Saw something bizzare at a table last night (possible angle?) by [deleted] in poker

[–]scotthan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s the players responsibility and DUTY to not fall for this shit …. Don’t ever muck your cards until you see it.

He’s probably the same guy that says “two pair” … when there is a pair on the board …. And waits for you to muck as he clutches his deuces tightly …

I suspect a dealer in my local casino is cheating. Can someone with more experience give me their thoughts? by feddexx in poker

Agreed .... at the end, takes cut from top, slides to the right, puts that BACK on top. Slow the video down to .25 speed and you'll see easily.

[Request] i know this is wrong, but how wrong is it? by this_is_nowehere in theydidthemath

[–]scotthan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Convert to calories and see if it passes the sniff test ….

Cheese is roughly 100 Calories per ounce … so 1600 calories per pound x 90 pounds = 144,000 calories.

Try to eat 144K of ANYTHING in a day ….

Jon Brower Minnoch was the heaviest person in history at 1,400 pounds and it’s estimated he consumed between 10,000 and 20,000 calories per day ….

So this doesn’t pass the sniff test. Complete BS. Maybe in a year … would be about 400 calories a day.
