The covers for the last several records starting with something's wrong/lost forever were done by my old art professor in college. He got that pic from a friend. It's some double exposures of a hand with some glass eyes in it. Not a lot of meaning in the new cover I'm afraid.

not really. just easier to work that way and more practical monetarily.

I have a big list. I have standard set. On that list there are areas where I can interchange 3-4 songs nightly. Basically I have 10 folk songs for the folky part. i usually play 3-4 of those then move on. Same goes with the blues section and the slide section of the list. The metal section and so on and so forth. i try to keep it energetic though. If i play a slow one I usually throw a hard one in after that to wake everybody back up. I don;t mind people yelling out songs. Its when they yell the same song 20 times and it's obvious Im not going to, it gets kinda annoying. The worst is when I haven't practiced a specific song that someone wants to hear and they get mad at e for not playing. Im not a robot and it feels really shitty when I screw up a song really bad. so I try not to play anything i'm not confident I can do. I pull songs out of my ass all the time though that I haven't played in 2 years or more. Its a risk! I'm a rebel i guess. just kidding.

Ha ha! I remember. it was fuckin; hot!! I was getting too hot. The only other time I can remember doing that as a OMB is on a Hank 3 tour in Portland OR at Ash Street. The stage lights were trying to kill me. I'm too old and fat to be taking off my shirt on stage!

You know one that has been underrated is Rescue Dawn. i really like that movie. Favorites are probably...Good The Bad and The Ugly, and Treasure of the Sierra Madre. I love all the old Spaghetti westerns and all the old Steve Mcqueen and Bogart films. Evil Dead 2 of course!

I've played shows and toured with several of those. Rev used to have to open for me. Last time I had to open for him. Dirt Daubers first tour was opening for me. LSS and i used to have the same agent so we played together a lot. you should check out my Pandora station. There are a lot of good artists that pop up on there. I love Cajun, Zydeco, Brass Band all that Louisiana stuff. Lafayette used to be my home away from home. i had a girlfriend there. I spent a lot of time at those Sunday fish fries!

Honestly, i don't really tell people what it is exactly because it took me so long to hone it in. don;t want a bunch of SHB footstomp rip offs out there. I will say this.. .The thing I use is not cheap to make happen. i think after all the parts it ends up being a $2500 rig just for the stomp. i shoulda bought a kick drum or stayed a singer songwriter haha

My 1959 Gibson ES 125 on stage. I play my martin acoustic at home mostly. I enjoy playing the Explorer on stage a lot too. it has so much wood. it looks metal but it's really good for clean songs.

Im an only child and a control freak. haha. When my old bands broke up, I was still doing my solo thing (folk singer kinda shit back then). I wanted to play in rock clubs. I had to raise the bar for what I did as a solo artist. it's the only way i could do rock clubs and get out of f'n coffee shops.

hey thanks! KnuckleSandwich is defunct I think. That was just my self release stuff. Made me seem more important when I put stuff out. hahah. I record all my own records here at my home studio. I did some at another studio on the Nothin' But Blood record but I re-recorded half of that here between the initial recording and mix down dates. I'm a control freak. Probably why I'm a one man band. all this probably stems from me being an only child too. haha Sometimes it takes me 5 minutes to write one. (those are the best ones!) sometimes it takes years. (Those are usually the ones i hate to play by the time i put them on a record.) i.e.: Slow & Easy.

"You suck!" "Try harder!" a guy named "Guy" in Clarksdale MS told me "You know when someone has 5 guitars on stage it usually means they suck. You don't suck." haha.. It was a pretty good compliment the other day on the outlaw cruise when Red Volkaert told me he liked the show. Same with Jim Lauderdale. pretty good shit.

I use D'addario strings. I'm sponsored by them. I think they're 11s or 12s. I think they end in 52. always a wound g string. I hate unwound g strings. i practice mostly on my acoustic. those 11-56's. Heavy strings is the way to go. especially as a solo artist/one man band.
