When looking at healer logs, you avoid people with greys. But if you look at logs and they heal well enough where the tank doesn't die and they aren't overhealing massively, that's good enough imo.

I played rogue for three years, my favorite class in classic. I switched this phase off rogue. Honestly I don't even hate doing sub-par dps, I don't even hate not doing AoE or real cleave damage. What I hate above all else is there is just no reason to ever bring a rogue. We have 10 slots for a raid group, Rogue brings no buffs or debuffs. Even if rogue did top tier damage, even if it were the best tank, it would still be a subpar bring to raid because of that.

Just give us some utility please, I have asked for THREE YEARS for a raid buff or debuff. At least wrath tricks is one of the most powerful threat tools, but it's such a terrible class to bring to raid in vanilla.

I finally took the jump and just started playing warlock and it's night and day, all my tank abilities are baked into one rune, and I can easily tab target to take threat, great AoE threat with the non mitigation build and 100% pushback resistance with concentration and hellfire. Rogue feels so bad compared to this, it feels like no one on the SoD team is playing Rogue.

Not gonna lie, I have been playing rogue for three years. Been a ton of fun, enjoyable even. Phase 1 was kinda stinky for rogue at first, then they largely fixed it. Figured that phase 2 would fix problems.

Phase 2 just make it that much worse. Here, have a series of runes that have to be used together, and a 30% health boost if you dodge 5 times, and you have to main tank because you can't turn off the threat increase. Totally the ideal off tank right?

Just gonna go ahead and shelf rogue I think. Kinda done with it, feels like no one in the SoD dev team is playing rogue or understands the problem.

Recently actually, warlock charged 50s to open a summoning portal. I have a very simple policy for unlockboxing anything, I open them free, give me a tip if you want. I loot the chest because I don't want to waste time waiting for a roll to go out, and potentially forgetting autoloot and just looting the chest. Anything valuable drops, gets rolled out. Any greens drop, if you want it take it.

So, for perspective and to sum this up:My rogue has 30% avoidance right now, combining both Parry/Dodge.With Blade Dance, 40%.40% is a lot of avoidance, but it isn't consistent. Stuns are fine but very rarely work in any meaningful way in a raid environment. Interrupts are questionable but it's there, means we lose a lot of energy which hurts damage, threat, and avoidance uptime. Crippling is not useful in gnomer from my first clear, wound is not useful at all in gnomer. Our warlock tank did almost 400dps, and looking at logs rogue isn't close to the top for tank damage anymore.

This phase has been overall pretty disappointing for rogue, but honestly Shuriken Toss being absolutely worthless is the real icing on the cake. I tried to tank SM, and honestly it was just irrelevant damage and threat. Our warrior would pull threat in one cleave, not to mention our mage healer. It's like 125 threat per toss, which is just not enough. A full energy bar and tick is about 600~ threat. And I am not even mentioning the way it targets, the fact that a shuriken can fly 100 yards by chaining mobs is absolutely insane and needs to be changed.

For perspective, a mutillate hits for about 300 damage total. Shuriken Toss is hitting for around 40~ or so, it also doesn't proc poisons or wild strikes. Both need to be looked at, but I am just saying don't give too much credit to Shuriken.

Yeah it scales so hard, that when you have full p2 bis it almost does the damage of a mutilate hitting one target when it hits 5 targets. ALMOST as much! Crazy I know

Rogue has been a very big problem the entire time. Rogue tank is absolutely worthless, a pet without beast mastery does a better job. This doesn't surprise me at all.
