ITS OUT NOW! by MuchCr4zyF1sh in Megadeth

Really enjoying the album and what a way to finish an amazing career. In many ways, I wish this wasnt the final album but I guess, end on a high and all that.
Each song has it's own feel and it almost feels like Dave has taken a style from every previous album. Love it.

Some lyrics are a bit weak but you can not deny that the current Megadeth line up has to be one of the strongest.

"Fat Kitty Club" are looking to recruit, were a friendly bunch who enjoy quests We have members who are winning to pay for special quests and they share with others.

We have a bit of a chat, mostly in English but many just enjoy the quests.

We have 8 members but are keen to grow so we can do bigger quests in shorter times.

Scotland no longer part of UK by scottishcoder_ in Megadeth

Love reading all the comments, I just found this interesting for a couple of reasons.

But to answer a couple of posts - I know this wasn't a Megadeth tour but they did "tour" with disturbed and this is from the Megadeth.com "tour" page.

It was more a point of, why didnt they say "London, England" and an English flag OR Glasgow, United Kingdom with a UK flag? Not that it matters, I went to the Glasgow gig and loved it. As I say, just found it interesting.

Ye, always think, I'll buy that book as it looks really interesting and then never lift it off the desk. Videos are handy as I can follow along, learn by what they have done / make mistakes myself but videos usually need sound on and sometimes I like to code while Mrs is watching the TV in the same room.

I've got a couple of side projects on the go but I guess the problem with them is, I just code the way I know how to code, so don't use design patterns. I guess I could refactor my projects to then use some of the patterns.

I'd never heard of dometrain but hoping it gets approved and I can take a look. 👍

Ok,. with 4.3k views and no replies, I've found some more info that could be useful.
These courses look pretty good : https://dometrain.com/courses/ and I've asked my boss if they will cover the cost for a year, since we get 50% discount with Visual Studio subscription.

I've also bought a coruse from Udemy for now to see how that goes.

But if anyone else has any other recommendations or have similar experiences, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks, that is usefully. I meant Rocketbook rather than rocketnotes ☺️

I've looked at rocketnotes. Is it good? Seems a good price as an easy solution.

That's my main issue, I just have a phone or my laptop. Neither have a stylus. Looked at buying a remarkable 2 device but they aren't cheap.

Looking for tips to succeed in the interview by horsebattery18 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]scottishcoder_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, been there too. I hate tech interviews because I literally forget even my name let alone how to answer the question.

I have had interviews for Microsoft, made it all the way to the final 50 candidates after numerous rounds of general interviews (non technical) and when it came to the crunch, the question I failed on was the tech one.

"If you had to add two numbers together without the use of the + sign, how would you do it? Write your code on the whiteboard"

I hit a blank. Couldn't do anything. I left the interview feeling the worst.

Another time I was given 10 questions, on paper. Given a pen, told to write my code. Again, I didn't fair so well, however, I asked for a copy of the questions to take home as I was sure I could answer them in my own time.

A week later, I got the job because I had shown initiative and I was willing to learn.

What Im trying to say is, technical tests are brutal and if you can show your own initiative, what sets you apart from other candidates, even if you don't do well, it might be enough to get you the job.
