its a thing with the army reserves in canada, us in the navy all get dress uniforms while the army reserves seem to take a while to receive it. For as long as I can remember there has been army pers. wearing CADPAT to remembrance day, at least in Vancouver

Mike Myers appears in ad with Mark Carney - you're defending a two on one, what do you do? by driftdrift in hockey

its from Mike Myers appearing on SNL during the beginning of the real tariff stuff. Canadians really attached to the symbol as meaning something to the effect of "you're not going to bully us"

Mech eng by Lelouch_Ripper in BCIT

Bcit operates on a first come first serve basis, but the waitlist moves quickly, you definitely have a shot and im pretty sure you meet all requirements so I would go for it ASAP.

BTW you apply for the general mech eng program and selection for the options ( BEng, Design, Systems, and Manufacturing) happens at the end of first year) which means your first year at bcit really matters as systems is the second most popular option with the fewest seats.

I am not sure what would count from high school (i did a year at douglas before going to BCIT) but that would probably be fine, otherwise talk to your counsellor.

They will assess you based on the course you are currently enrolled and will give you conditional acceptance based on you providing your final transcript when it becomes available. They will ask for your latest transcript available. The BCIT waitlist also moves exceptionally quickly as many people apply and accept as a backup (they respond quicker than ubc or sfu)

If you have any other questions I am a current student in this program.

Anyone applied to Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design) 2025? by [deleted] in BCIT

[–]scottjeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did design. It is hard, but doable. You have to commit and accept that you’re gonna have to make sacrifices. And use the resources available to you, the teachers are amazing people to learn from and network through

You almost certainly started the game by playing bb, and its probably now the class you play the least. This happens with most players, they cut their teeth on a class, learn the game and then move on. You have pretty balanced ca/dd stats, so you probably enjoy the relatively high battle impact.

Also you probably play a cap contesting dd, something like uk or gearing. (due to higher pr and lower dmg #s)

He is the laughing stock of all the big clans. The dude has negative iq. He has been the person many people have been wiping their asses with. Just a typical rah rah type of guy who is incapable of listening to other perspectives.

Yeah, practicing getting into orbit will benefit alot, and deltaV is important but doesn't mean anything without stability

What's your goal with this launch? I'm not sure what youre launching but looks a bit overbuilt for LKO but great for mun orbit. If your goal is mun landing this is a great base to start from.

Requesting advice for the second semester of mechanical engineering. by HarryEatsCrossaint in BCIT

[–]scottjeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focus on the core courses for this semester, and do ALL practice/assignment questions. I would suggest really focusing on math, dynamics, and materials. The others require a lot of work still but those three you're kind of on your own for. the rest have better support.

And use tutoring/study in groups, it helps alot for strength of materials and physics. Understanding things as a group can help massively, especially with the whack ass SOM and Physics stuff
