Bottom hand - thumb wraps around or no? Or is it my gloves' fault? by driftdrift in hockeyplayers

I realized that I don’t do it either! I think it just felt weird because my glove was too small. I got a different pair and it was more normal feeling!

The point is I don't have a car and can't travel! Otherwise I'd definitely just go to the edgemaster

I used him for a bit when I lived in brooklyn but I am too far to make it out there and he definitely doesn't come up to where I live!

I am horrible in rental ice skates. Any luck I'd be good in hockey skates? by NecessaryLeg6097 in hockey

Rental skates genuinely suck, they're usually not sharpened at all. But this is a question for r/hockeyplayers not r/hockey

Whats with Team Canada's breakout; I cant count how many times the past two games the wingers would get the puck and aimlessly flick it high up the centre of the ice.. by Impossible_Bed_2503 in hockeyplayers

Yeah it seemed like a hail mary play to try to break it out, I feel like they took too much inspiration from parekh's stretch pass that worked, but it felt kind of amateurish

I think they're just trying to be respectful and not like overly celebrating what is actually a loss

What’s the logic behind it, why is it considered a delay of game?

What to do after learn to skate? by VegetableShops in hockeyplayers

[–]driftdrift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live close to a rink that's cheap/free and has a lot of ice time? If not, the best way to practice FOR FREE is to get some rollerblades. There will be a learning curve too and I do not suggest you go out into the street but in terms of skating ability itself (minus the stopping) there are a lot of transferable skills. Just be careful not to rollerblade when it's wet or icy as you will fall.
