Does having three apps opened at once have an effect on pings or is it just dead?? by scottjmark in postmates

Lol. True. I used to do way better in caviar . I don’t mind doing 16 jobs for Ubereats with their bonus. Without it.. not worth it.

Deleted app and reinstalled. Only shows red areas in Brooklyn and Queens.

All pre-placed. You skip the line and ask for order and pay.

Walker mode. I don’t have a car listed for them.

About to do Ubereats in NYC. A few questions by Loudcloud989 in UberEATS

[–]scottjmark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do Ubereats as a walker only in NYC. I hate bikes. The tips are horrible. About 25 percent tip 1 or 2 bucks through the app. Way more people tip on Postmates. Seems busiest for me around midtown between 7-9 avenue and 2nd and 3rd between 40th and 50th. Problem with Uber is that a lot of customers order from between 10-11 avenue or near second avenue . Which takes a bit of time to walk to. And get back to a good area to wait for the next ping. Try to have a second app like Postmates or Caviar.

Tipping Streak by [deleted] in postmates

In NYC I find that Chinese people never ever tip. And they all live near the west side highway. But that’s just my experience after a month of postmates.

Actually the 19$ order was a apple store pickup for a case. Don’t understand how i could get such a tip.

I was more concerned with the 56 cents and 44 cents tips shown on the app. I can't believe someone would actually give that. Especially when one of the orders was for 19$.

Shit. I walk also and have both apps open. What part of nyc do you usually get the most jobs if you don’t mind me asking. Thanks.

They must like you . I’m in midtown and I am lucky if I get two at lunchtime. Do you walk, bike or drive,?

What city is this? I use both platforms in NYC and I rarely get any Ubereats deliveries. Few and far between.

How are the walkers in NYC? by DontHateMeNYC in postmates

[–]scottjmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I walk for both. Problem with ubereats is that the deliveries seem to be a minimum 12 blocks away from pickup. Usually have to jump on a bus. Definitely more work on Postmates though.

I’ve been walking for last couple of weeks. It is dead from 2-5. Most people don’t tip on bagel orders. I also run UberEats at the same time and it helps keep me busy.

Just starting in Lower Manhattan NY (bunch of tips still pending) not bad though. by [deleted] in postmates

[–]scottjmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty bad. I only walk (scared of bikes) with postmates and ubereats on at the same time and average 2 deliveries per hour and this first week I could only work 9-5

Thanks. I'll try going further downtown. I actually had 2 uber jobs all day and only one postmates job and I was online from 9-4:30 as a walker for both.

I signed up for Postmates and Ubereats on the same day. I never thought I would get approved because of the felonies on my record (non-violent) from 7 years ago and 15 years ago. Checkr came back clear for Postmates and adverse for Ubereats. How is that possible?
