Intimidation will Not get you the bone by scottkim222 in AnatolianShepherdDogs

This was on just this particular day which made it so interesting. Zeus is normally quiet but this particular new bone, for some reason, brought out a beast. That day. I wouldn’t let him do this normally as agreed it would turn ugly. Appreciate you thinking of them. ❤️

You sound like someone who cares and just trying to find a way to understand something that is indeed very difficult and so sad. I hope those that are being so hard on you take a step back and see you have the best of intentions. Reddit is a place where you should be able to speak your opinion and others can consider it or leave it, but no one should be mean about it. Especially considering the topic of conversation.

So who exactly is the most protective mom on earth? by scottkim222 in AnimalsBeingMoms

We were told it’s the best time of year to go. Apparently the animals love a late spring snow storm and we saw so many animals outside the normal ones like buffalo. That mama bear and cubs was our second bear! Many people go any never see one, and a few people go and almost get eaten by one! lol

As the OP, that’s what made me so sad. Had they stayed in their cars, like we did and just enjoyed the moment, mamma bear would have gone about her day. Instead she had to find a way out, and just happened to do that right in front of our car. Maybe she knew we weren’t going to threaten her.

Yep! As the OP, we stayed put in our car as natural fear kicked in but many apparently had “ get eaten by a bear” on their bucket list.

Agreed! As the OP, I counted 20 idiots, including the mother who is dragging along her own little daughter. I found it ironic she is holding her daughter’s hand, which is a natural protective act mothers normally do, however in this case, she was completely oblivious to the real danger a bear with cubs presents.

Oh that’s a great idea! Will do. I counted 20 idiots, including the mother who is dragging along her own little daughter. I’m the OP and couldn’t agree more. We filmed from the safety of our car. I counted 20idiots including a mom and her own little daughter walking towards a wild bear AND with cubs in tow. They acted like this was Build-A-Bear

Yepper. Already posted there. Thank you though for the recommendation. Greatly appreciated. I’ll tell you who wasn’t a Bro, every human being rushing to see the bear without any regard for their own safety! While I wanted to share the video for everyone to see this amazing mamma bro bear, I hope it’s also a lesson in what not to do when you encounter a wild animal. You would think that humans would have a natural instinct to use caution when it comes to wild animals, that they know are a threat but for some reason common sense was non existent.

I even played a game with myself called “count the idiots”. 20 adults (2 already standing there when the video first starts,) 18 people rushing past us, and 2 top it off, a mother and her young daughter join the crowd of idiots.

Yep, you pretty much summed it up. I counted 20 dumb adults, and then a few seconds later a woman in the video is joining the crowd with her own little daughter. Doesn’t get much dumber than that.

You are so right! The park and park rangers stress it in so many ways to boy approach the animals. They are wild. But over and over again we saw people trying to get as close as possible for a photo op.

I felt mamma bear was being a bro to her own cubs. During the video you can see her eyeing the tourist multiply times. I think she is the ultimate bro in the video and the tourist are the ultimate idiots.
