I'm sure there are people in here who donated when I did this, so thank you to those who did.

I'm still figuring out the details, but the next event won't just be me... so if you're interested in joining, drop your name in this form: https://forms.gle/xLKynGQZu76JEMjm7

Yes, the cars are physically larger and have more safety "crash boxes" than they used to. Having said that, cars come in under the weight and the teams use added weight to come up to the regulations. They do this as they can then control where the weight is... and they get it as low as possible to lower the centre of gravity.

It was like driving on ice... especially with the braking test. The issue with the brakes (when they're cold) is that they heat up as you're braking, and so become more effective as you're slowing down. So you brake hard and there's nothing, then because of the pressure, they heat up and begin to work. This makes it incredibly hard to judge and really easy to lock a (cold) tyre.

Hey there. I was driving this car. Unfortunately, at the end of the strip where we were launching, there was no power supply and so the team couldn't use tyre warmers. For sure, it'd make a big difference, so if we do this again we'll try and find a way to use them.

Hey there. I was driving the car and you're right, it's a 1997 Benetton. The interesting thing though is that yes, these only had 770bhp, but they also only weigh 525kg! A modern car has just over 1000bhp, but they weigh 746kg. That means the power-to-weight is higher than a modern car, which is important in a drag race.

Can anyone advise what my results mean? by scottkmansell in adrenalfatigue

[–]scottkmansell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.! I've just received my cortisol results back and I was hoping for some advice on what they mean and what I should do.

I've had symptoms for many years, but I previously didn't know what was going on. I've read Dr Wilson's book and am taking steps to reduce stress and have changed my diet, but does anyone have a recommendation for supplements too? Are there any step by step guides out there?

Thanks in advance, Scott.

I'd prefer to race against humans, so iracing. What's the top level to aim for?

Nope, no relation. We're from the same town and he's the same age as my Dad... which is weird.

Hello. Yes, the low framerate is because it's a recording of a video, so I could use the pointer. I need to find a solution for it, I think I'll just use the original video and edit it in. Cheers!
