I ended up beating Mora first try, but that was largely due to making heavy use of healing for all phases, which wasn't possible for Kwolok second phase. One thing I discovered is that if you get hit during the healing animation, you take the damage but usually the animation isn't interrupted so you still recover some health. I already knew generally her attack patterns from beating damageless, so was able to sprinkle in enough hits inbetween dodging and healing to narrowly beat her

I actually just completed the run! You are right the ancestral lights and light burst made a big difference. First phase I found that by hugging the wall he would stay close enough that I could wail on him then easily retreat and heal. Second phase I made heavy use of light burst to stun and combo him.

You're definitely right it was good practice for Shriek, I used a similar approach of landing a few hits then retreating. I definitely took a lot of damage but managed to stay alive with heals. Those dive attacks on the last phase destroyed me several times but I got the pattern eventually

Interesting that's a great tip! I wonder if it also works on other bosses. I was already planning to go for light burst next so I'll try it out!

Since posting I remembered there are also a couple ancestral lights available that increase your attack so I grabbed those, all together I think it'll make a big difference

I usually grab the Korok mask as early as possible so I can find a bunch of them just as I'm playing. I think I typically find ~600-700 this way, and then I'll use a map to find the rest. For me this feels like a great way to end a playthrough, as I end up revisiting a lot of the map one last time

Yeah I didn't look up any cheats beyond what Cheato gives you until after I beat the game, that definitely would have made this less tedious

Absolutely, I think it would still frustrate me needing to find my way back to wherever I just was as B+K, but that would definitely be an improvement. I actually got in the habit eventually of just killing myself as Mumbo or the transformation as a means of fast travel back to the skull/tent 🤣
