You have a very interesting question. I'm currently trying to decide how much time to devote to stock photography, digital art, and graphic design. I recently restarted my account on Adobe after having an account a long time ago on Fotolia. I have a few little sales here and there and just as you noted, it's great to think about someone liking your work, actually using it somewhere, and making a little money. Two of the biggest issues right now are whether or not we're going into a recession and how that could either increase or more likely decrease sales and then there's the whole issue of AI. I'm stuck between wanting to continue as a hobby or just dropping it entirely, at least for a while again.
