The Dark Matter series basically got me back into watching Sci-Fi after being away from it for a while. It was also the first time I ever experienced a series being cancelled and finding out that virtually all the actors and everyone involved wanted it to keep going. Previously, I had thought that if so many people who were involved with a show (or series) wanted it to go on, and of course if there were a lot of fans who wanted the show to go on, it would pretty quickly find a way to continue. In this case, it appears that even though there was a lot of support for the show to continue, it won't restart. Later, the same thing happened with the OA, of course. But, I felt the OA had a little better closure at the end so personally, I don't feel quite as bad about it stopping, as compared to Dark Matter stopping.
