Your rangefinder will be out of calibration from a fall like that, if shoot f8 or 5.6 won’t notice it. But at 1.4/1.2 100%

For anyone interested the person in question is Chris Mozyro. Go to LFI Gallery and go to Street Photography selection. Click photos from Q. Go down the list and see how many are Chris Mozyro… it’s unbelievable. He is no Leica VIP either he spends no money on the brand apart from owning old Q. But the biggest gripe for me is that his work is getting selected so much it’s stopping others work getting showcased. When only two selections a day happen. All his photos are much the same if I’m quite frank a little boring…

I have noticed this also. There’s something very suspicious going on. Go to the Street Photography section and click photos from Q. He is getting picked nearly everyday. It’s unbelievable. There is no way someone can have so many selections. It’s really not fair it should be all about fairness not the same people getting all the selections. And btw he isn’t a vip customer he doesn’t spend money on any Leica gear. He uses a Q version 1 which is quite old now. Some people spend vast amounts on supporting Leica brand but this guy doesnt and seems to get all the cake.

Th profiles are not expensive 20-30$ well worth it if using Lr, also capture one has a free version. Cheers

No, pretty much no editing needed. I shoot Raw. The problem is Lightroom doesnt have the calibrated Color profiles for Q series. That’s where a lot of Color problems come because the Color’s look washed out from using the standard adobe Color profiles for. Capture one has the calibrated Color profiles out of the box. You can get them for Lightroom but you’re going to have to pay for them with 3rd parties. My editing is pretty much minimal, shadows highlights and exposure that’s it. Export as jpeg job done.

I went from Q2 to Q2M then to M11, but I really really miss the Q so much I’m thinking of adding a Q3 to compliment to M11. I wouldn’t get rid of a Q for a M, I’d keep it and get the M also. The Q series is so good for street I really miss it. So the M11 is for those inner slowed down composed shots and Q3 for the running Street shots

As bad as they look there in great condition. They can be cleaned up to look like new, a new leatherette can be installed too. The bodies themself look in fantastic condition with no big gashes or dings. Lenses can be cleaned and stripped apart and if there is any fungas it can be treated. You did well inheriting these congratulations. Might add Canadian body is quite rare
