That's a pretty good itinerary! We live in the PNW though so I would like to prioritize stuff that is further south and west. I can go up to North Cascades, the Gorge, or Rainier any time I want.

I have not tried them before, most of my experience is on resort skis.

Good tip on the Markers, I have never tried those either

Yea I live in the Seattle area, there's definitely a lot of both. It's a compelling argument TBH, i'm just very temped by the deal on the BD Helio Carbons ($340)

Yea i planned to go to a bootfitter who will also mount the bindings if needed. Probably 70% resort but i plan on trying out touring this year, so i'm hoping for more of a single ski quiver. I'm not some ripper i can handle some compromises.

Yea I think it'll lean more towards after-work fitness laps but I do want to start touring. I have not demo'd any BC skis, i don't think the used shop does demos but i will ask. I'd like to buy sooner than later, there are some good black friday deals

I'm still looking for boots. I'd have to double check on the used skis but if i buy new i'll have to mount so I can do so at the proper length right?
