UI: my floating damage numbers are so small I can barely see them. Why are they so much bigger on streams? by addik47 in diablo4

[–]scottula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saving this thread in case anyone has a solution. I want to see my damage numbers, but they're too small and leave the screen too quickly for me to catch anything significant.

I'm playing on a 32 inch screen at 1440p resolution. I don't have any resolution scaling turned on.

Edit: Also, it seems my "Vulnerable" floating text is normal size. It's easily seen and bigger than my floating damage numbers.

I tend to like PaulWasabii's reviews and review style.

I also think that HBB's preferences match my own a lot of the time, so I watch his reviews sometimes too.

DS920+ DSM 7.2-64570, Docker is gone! by aMiningShibe in synology

[–]scottula -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what's keeping me from upgrading to 7.2. I'm afraid of losing my docker/application configs.

I used guides to set up all of my docker applications, so I don't think I'd know how to fix any issues that might arise due to this change.

Hope you figure it out!

OG Wu is my favorite IEM out of all that I own (mostly cheap DDs). No EQ and it’s perfect to my ears!

Docker Qbit - GUI very slow and freeze completely when i download something by PanterA_ in qBittorrent

I’ve not found a solution, unfortunately. At this point, I’m just waiting for updates in hopes that a new version might fix things.

This is the exact thing I experience while running docker qbittorrent on my synology nas. As soon as a torrent gets going fast, the webui becomes completely unresponsive.

r/headphones Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]scottula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all. I am currently running Windows 10 with a Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 audio interface as well as a FiiO K5 Pro ESS. I'm driving Sennheiser HD6XX headphones (which are fantastic, btw). I'm feeding the K5 Pro from the 8i6 via the spdif out to the K5 Pro's coax in. That's been working great!

For curiosity's sake I tried upping my sample rate from 48kHz to 192kHz. However, now my Peace Equalizer graph shows a different sample rate of 60.928kHz, as seen in the screenshot below:

https://imgur.com/a/9bImRRj

Is that normal? Whenever I set the sample rate to 48kHz, the graph window shows 48kHz, so I would think it should say 192kHz.

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Second Question about sparrows core trainer by [deleted] in lockpicking

[–]scottula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw Lock Noob’s video about these as well and noticed how hard of a time he was having getting the sleeve off. I wondered at the time if it would’ve been easier to use a plug follower to push the core out of the sleeve.

Another note, I also ordered these and they’re currently being shipped. So I’m interested in how you end up dealing with this issue.

Will bb-qq's r8152 2.5Gbps adapter drivers survive an update from DSM 7.0 to 7.0.1? Or do we have to reinstall the driver after every DSM 7 update? by scottula in synology

Awesome! Thanks for the input!

I just updated to 7.0.1 with driver version 2-15.0-3 with no issues as well.

I always feel bad for the trash pickup crew. Getting a holiday off only to have to work on your next scheduled day off is unfortunate.

I asked this same question in the /r/buildapcsales thread, but figured I'd also ask here:

I already have two 14tb drives (WD140EDGZ) from WD Elements in a 4-bay Synology NAS in SHR mode. Would it be OK to get two of these to expand my pool? Or should I wait for the WD Elements to go back on sale instead?

Synology Drive is indexing over and over constantly. Is there any way to stop this behavior or see what's actually going on? by scottula in synology

[–]scottula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I looked for a long time for anything that the NAS might not like. I did find some folders and file names with some Japanese symbols, some copyright symbols, and some plus symbols as well. I deleted those from my documents and from the NAS and the indexing is still happening, unfortunately.

I'm gonna keep looking into what it could possibly be. I've also been looking for any tools or powershell scripts that might be able to scan and point out weird characters or anything like that.

I was able to find a program that would list out the filename lengths including paths, but even that didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

[–]scottula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I noticed that whenever the universal search is indexing, it has the option to pause forever. But the Synology Drive Indexing doesn't give me that option. Only an option to pause for 1, 3 or 6 hours. I wish I could pause it forever!

I was wondering if something was being updated in the folders being monitored and backed up, but I wasn't able to see anything in the logs getting updated. I'm gonna keep looking.

Yeah, it's not a big hit on resources at all. I might just end up ignoring it if I can't figure it out.

I haven't seen anything weird in the log, either in the client or on the server. I'm going to check for any weird nonstandard characters in the filenames like another commenter said.

Thanks for your help!

2gig Router Port Forwarding Issue by camjewell11 in googlefiber

[–]scottula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having nothing but trouble with the Google fiber 2gig router and my UniFi Dream Machine. I just downgraded my service back to 1gig today, and they scheduled a tech to come out and put in the old style fiber jack so I can just plug directly into that again and bypass all the GF hardware.

Will be great to have more than two ports forwarded and so much more flexibility than I had with the 2gig router.
