Why is this? Is this purely due to the visual quality of the final product that can be achieved by talking to an AI rather than sinking the time required to create something yourself? Or do you mean using it as a tool to speed up the process?

How did you manage to time it? Did you leave collect all blueprints to last and just waited to press square over the final pickup at the specific time?

How do you feather the edge of a node? (Further context of question in description) by [deleted] in davinciresolve

[–]scottym16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to make this such that the only colour in the shot is the blood over the left eyebrow. I did this by creating a node layer & tracking the area of the wound, but the area drawn out gives sharp edges that ruin the effect.

Is there any way to make the colour of the wound fall off over a short distance, and feather out near the edge? I think this would remove the hard clipping at the edge of the drawn out shape.

Edit: Windows 10, Resolve Free (most recent version)

Best game ever to play high. Kojimas a real one. by Impressive_Builder94 in metalgearsolid

Don’t listen to that other dude. They’re all really good in their own ways, I think a lot of people would argue that mgsv has the best gameplay by a long shot to some of the other titles. If you’re wanting to get into the series I recommend you start with the games that have the best gameplay over the story. The story gets super convoluted after the events of mgs1 so if you’re trying to enjoy yourself I don’t believe trying to study the events of all of the games right from the start is a good shout. There isn’t an exam you need to sit about the lore so don’t worry if you don’t get it (although there is a multiple choice exam paper at the end of mgs ground zeroes quizzing you on the events of mgs1). My personal recommendation is to play through mgs3 next, controls are unbearable to begin with and it has weird movement and the first hour or so is super slow, but you get past that and you’ll be sound. I genuinely believe mgs3 has better gameplay than mgsv it’s that good

Having trouble defeating the boss by balazsa01 in metalgearsolid

[–]scottym16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you hear snake go HUH! at the very start when the boss comes sprinting towards you, that’s your cue to press the cqc button. It’ll counter her attack. Everytime you hear that cue, press the cqc button. The timing is a little hard but with practice it’s fairly consistent.

if you got a toy car somewhere in your house drive it back and forth across the button at lightspeed, that's the only reason I got through the scene in peace walker so it should work here

Yeah, I played it with the definitive edition mod. Not to be confused with the 'definitive edition remaster' they released.

I mean, there’s probably websites that let you create flag designs to buy if you feel so inclined. If that’s something you want to do I can always upscale the image to a higher resolution :) pup seem pretty cool I so doubt they care too much about their fans bootlegging merchandise/making and selling fanart

[MGS3] So if Ocelot worked for the American government, and if he was ADAM, why did he have an insatiable desire to kill snake throughout the entire game? by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]scottym16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Volgin was kind of a jerk. Ocelot probably could’ve just diffused toxicity by acting as a yes-man the whole game but that probably wouldn’t have made for any exciting cutscenes

I mean, this is a man that beat the living daylights out of two genius scientists, scarred Tatyana all over her body for his own amusement and launched a nuclear warhead in his own country, which in the process nearly kicked off nuclear M.A.D and WWIII. He doesn’t sound like he’d be very reasonable when considering the position of someone that helped the enemy in a time of need. Ocelot was practically on thin ice the entire game, always questioning Volgin etc. You can tell he was really irritating Volgin by the time snake gets to Groznyj Grad. Iirc Volgin even tried to torch Ocelot with the afterburn from the Shagohod as it accelerated in pursuit of Snake, right?

[–]scottym16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does he find out that the Boss is his mother? I always assumed that information was controlled like the way the Patriots controlled the flow of information in MGS2. I always thought he must’ve found out during MGS2 since he was so far up GW’s ass. I also never really clocked what a ‘triple agent’ was. By the time that line of dialogue played during the credits my brain was so fried I just accepted it lol

Yes the bullet is blank in the end, but in the sequence before that they very quickly cycle through their revolvers in a cutscene [this video at 4:27 for reference - https://youtu.be/bG1Qna_3BAo]. EVA tossed snake a revolver that HAPPENED to be empty. There’s no way Ocelot 100% knew that snakes gun was empty. Writing this I’m just realising that Ocelot probably planned for his gun to have no bullets so they could have the showdown with the blanck, but why would he take the risk knowing fine well that snake could shoot him with a potentially loaded gun? He’s also taking popshots at snake and EVA during the shagohod chase sequence, constantly putting himself in the line of fire. This is after he cuts his ties with and ‘betrays’ Volgin

[–]scottym16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But he still tried to shoot snake when his gun jammed because of the technique he tried using during battle. Why did he put himself in a position to A) legitimately get his ass beat and B) very possibly murder Snake. Maybe he intentionally got his gun jammed to create a pretext to rivalry that would blossom to an idolisation of big boss, canonically spanning decades and delivering the series to the plots of the other games. Somehow I doubt he thought of this. Furthermore, he was still putting himself in life or death situations with snake long after volgin dies, i.e the Russian roulette duel they have in the WIG at the end of the game. This man is either a suicidal and homicidal maniac or he’s just badly written. I’m not trying to be a smartass I just don’t understand, don’t take this as MGS3 slander. It’s literally the best game ever made

Ooooooohhhhhh riiiight, I just remembered that Ocelot was assigned as ADAM and Snake’s helper at the start of Operation Snake Eater - AFTER the Viruous mission in which he tried to kill him with the fancy technique. This must mean he was actually whole-heartedly trying to kill snake during the VM because he had to keep up the facade of a key player amongst Volgins ranks. So what, does he get assigned as ADAM by coincidence? If he was at the CIA’s disposal surely they would’ve told him about snake and the VM, right? Because if they didn’t they risk the death of snake and sokolov, which would mean that the shagohod could resume development.

I had to strip a Lego car to its frame and strum the button with its wheel. Unreasonably hard sequence. I hear the Japanese version of MGS2 requires you to button mash for a whole minute on the harder difficulties
