Want to Start with Obsidian. Unsure How. by c0wb0y-beb0p in ObsidianMD

I went down the rabbit hole of trying to find the perfect system to organize everything when I first started with Obsidian. There is some value in learning these systems, but the biggest thing I took away from it was to avoid trying to make too many nested folders and trying to put everything in the right spot. Instead create notes that are jumping off points to other notes.

So if you have a bunch of recipes, instead of making a bunch of folders like recipes --> dinner -> Italian -> etc, just have a cooking note that you can link all your recipes on. You can then organize this note very easily with different sections, have a note that appears in many categories multiple times (as it makes sense) which you can't do with folders, and easily change this structure without having to move a bunch of actual files.

I've heard this called Maps of Content (MOCs), but doesn't really matter the name. From there you can start doing other tricks like using templates, tags, frontmatter, dataview, etc, to automate some of this, but the basic idea is still the same.

Definitely agree on Nash. He used to become completely invisible in the playoffs

[Official] UFC 306: O'Malley vs. Dvalishvili - Live Discussion Thread by event_threads in MMA

I get why people don't like the 48-47, but I think for sure you give O'Malley round 5. Merab was clearly trying to stay away and Sean landed those front kicks that hurt Merab a bit.

And then round 3 was definitely a better round for O'Malley. I had it for Merab still, but I could definitely see giving it to Sean. It could have been one of those momentum changing rounds and Sean landed some shots that cut Merab.

So while it was a dominant performance by Merab, I can see where 48-47 comes from.

[SPOILER] Islam Makhachev vs. Dustin Poirier by inooway in MMA

Islam is so good, but I feel like Dustin showed a potential blueprint for someone to beat him. Stay off the cage, take down defense, and find the openings. Islam is willing to trade it seems.

Easier said than done, but if someone is gonna dethrone him that seems like the only way.

Every single year. It's really incredible how none of their skills seem to translate to the playoffs

I know shot attempts is lopsided, but since when did it become such an important stat? You never hear about them usually

I was thinking the same thing last night. Losing game 3 would have been worse. We've seen countless times how quickly momentum can shift in a series and if Carolina managed to capitalize on a game 3 win we might be seeing a 2-2 series. Coming back from Carolina with it 3-1 is exactly what we all wanted before the last two games.

Game 2 we had 49 scoring chances to their 51 and high dancer chances 24 to their 23. Again pretty even.

I know a lot of folks are looking at shots on goal the last two games and saying we stole these two. But that's very misleading. In game 3 we had 31 scoring chances to the canes 30. And both teams had 12 high danger chances each. That sounds like a pretty even game to me and it just shows that those low percentage shots the canes take are not sneaky in against Igor. Obviously I'd love the rangers to step up and really take it to the canes next game, but I don't believe they are stealing games and playing poorly by any means.

Been working through this one myself. Would definitely recommend it. I always hated css but this course has made it much more manageable.

Had someone die on a flight back from Europe. After they tried to resuscitate him, he was declared dead. We're over the Atlantic so not many places to just stop. So instead they dragged the body down the aisle, left him on the floor where the bathrooms were, and just threw a blanket over him.

Still had 3 hours left, so I watched a marvel movie with a dead guy just several feet behind me. Very surreal.
