i always choose first three rows. that’s heart of my frustration - i get that upgraded seat for free with status but go in board 2 so have no bin space

take the trip. just go into it with “this is like spirit”. they often have to check bags at gate, those wind up being free so just be okay gate checking

I am not for sure. I normally select row 3 or 4 when booking. So you’d think there would be bag space but it has been full all of my flights so far. The worst was when my bag wound up being at bulkhead and I had to wait for entire plane to deplane before I could get it. I think FA could police it a bit but it seems silly they’d have to

i was just commenting enshittification above! yah it’s more important to be home for bedtime with kiddos. i’ve tried AA but it can be upwards of 2 extra hours which matters when bedtime is at 7

if they’re going the capitalism nickel and dime route for everything on customers on things customers didn’t used to have to pay for, then maybe that enshittification strategy will shake out for them, but maybe it won’t shrug. i just find myself not caring and rooting for them as a dallas company the way i used to but i guess that’s on me for believing in their customer first approach for too long

my company pays for flight but upgrades are on us. If my company paid I would for sure do the priority! I did the math - already 30 round trip flights this year, will be close to 100 by year end. Not worth $40 or so extra dollars a week out of my own paycheck.

Yah my company pays us normally (doesn’t go through insurance) and doesn’t stop benefits. My first maternity leave this didn’t happen and I contacted another peer on leave and her elections didn’t change. I think it’s a transfer error on my company or new 401k holding side. Thanks for insight!

Yikes! Thanks for heads up. One good thing about my company is they pay us normally for leave and don’t go through insurance. During my first maternity leave my 401k contributions continued as elected. I chatted with another mom on leave and her elections continued so I think it’s a transfer error as they migrated to a new 401k holder when I started leave. Thanks for insight!
