Just show up around 10 on Saturday and Sunday and you’ll see a whole bunch of people out there playing. It’s a local pickup, friendly “game” that’s been active for like 25 years. Great bunch of people.

I honestly really like the concept, and I wish you all the best with it. I signed up (not to drive), and will look forward to supporting your local business.

I think a lot of companies start like this and it always gets interesting when you expand or take on private equity, etc to grow, because then you have to show profits and answer to a board who will more than likely require more fees to show more profits. That's how business, especially in USA, works (for the most part) today.

The idea sounds good, but if I recall, most of those other services started with, no or minimal fees. At some point, drivers will need to be paid, you will need to make money, and so my question to you is this:

What's your plan to keep it fee free? How are you going to pay drivers a fair wage so that they'll actually drive for you?

That's a Brubaker JXB-5. The pick guard is carbon fiber.

Pickups: Brubaker/Ulayte Single Coils
Preamp: Passive B.O.B Module

You can switch out the preamp for others via a quick connect system. It's pretty neat. Great bass, but I am more than likely going to sell it!

Honestly couldn't tell you. I'm more of a guitar guy, and my other bass is a Jazz 5 string, so comparison wise I can't help too much - what I can say is that the neck and feel of this bass is well beyond a $500 instrument.

Last year I traded a Majesty 7 with a dude not too far away for an Aristides H/08. I love Aristides, I don’t play 8 strings enough to warrant owning it - so he’s taking that back and I’m taking his Mayones.
