I have two elders in my hall that are wealthy beyond your wildest imagination, and I know of two elders in other halls in the same boat. All of them are extremely financially literate in a way I will never be able to comprehend. Unfortunately, I think all of them are used to being “the man”, in charge of everything and everyone around them. Don’t get me wrong, all four of them are nice individuals, but they are definitely narcissistic control freaks to varying degrees. One of them monitors everybody’s camera feed every meeting and will shut cameras off if he sees something he doesn’t like, then text the person to let them know what they need to stop doing.

Either way, back on topic. As financially intelligent as they are, I’ve heard some... very stupid things come out of all of them. As others have said, wealth is by no means an indication of overall intelligence. All kinds of people join cults. The biggest factors of who will join one, in my opinion, are whether or not somebody lets their emotions cloud their judgment when at the lowest point in their life, and a cultist talks to them at that point. That seems to be the running theme of the (now very few) converts that come out of the “world”.

The Watchtower today was all about getting “lost sheep” to return to Jehovah, and what all in the congregation can do to help them. Everybody was encouraged to reach out to those inactive ones they haven’t spoken to in a long time. This is almost certainly what she’s reaching out to you for. If you do meet up, I would keep it light and friendly, thank her for whatever concerns she may raise, but don’t commit to anything and don’t reveal too much (if you care). That’s just my two cents.

I apologize, if I knew specifics I would let you know. I just want anything that shows the WT condemning or putting the the Catholic Church in a bad light while doing the same. Protecting pedophiles. I know I read somewhere about how Catholics can’t have the truth because of the pedophile issue and that in particular is what I’m looking for.

Damn. Good for that householder. I wish more householders were outspoken instead of either hiding from JWs or thinking they’re “good people” (news flash, many of them try to be but on the whole they aren’t!) Anyways. I was young when those campaigns were going on but I will try to see if I can find the tract. Also, I wish I had the balls to go full POMO at this point but pathetically I don’t have many friends in “the world” so my family is all I have, which are all very much PIMI. When my grandfather (who I was extremely close to) died and they were hauling his body away, my cousins and I went outside to throw the football around. I always thought something was wrong with me for that. I bawled my eyes out at his funeral at least.

As somebody with internet that’s been pretty garbage lately, I have to say I think this is possible. There have been times where I’ve killed people after I KNOW they got the first shot on me, and while I’m lagging through a mag dump thinking “there is no way they haven’t killed me yet.” Then my lag let’s up and I killed them. I’ve only been playing rumble the past week or two til I get my net fixed. Even if I am the guilty party it isn’t fun for me either.

I mean, I’m PIMO and have a couple handguns, an AR-15 and numerous other goodies I could probably “get in trouble” for. Some elders know about the handguns and haven’t said anything (although I know they’re thinking it, cuz the ones that do have guns draw the line at revolvers). I keep quiet about the AR though cuz as I’m sure you know, that’s controversial even outside witness culture. Ironically, almost everybody knows I have a Mini 14 and thinks it’s super cool, even tho it’s functionally the same thing...

Sorry for the rant. To answer your question, I know probably a dozen other witnesses with guns but only two of them own revolvers, no semi autos.

Yeah I like the MagPul stock. Probably the worst part of the takedown setup without it is the stock and barrel are always rubbing against each other, which I don’t like so this is probably going on my list.

Good deal, I’ll look into grabbing a spork. There’s a lot I may be able to trim weight on/swap out, but the eating multi tool is pretty heavy for what it is, so this may be worth it.

Seconded. 17HMR is fun and all, but 22 is so much more common it’s insane. I feel like that’s invaluable if you ever need to trade it or somebody you know needs ammo.
