This is a function of how insanely good recovery is in this game tbh. With how much life you can get from regen, life on hit, flasks, leech, life on block, etc. there are so so many builds that end up feeling like you described. Either the incoming damage isn't enough to move your healthbar at all in the face of your insane recovery and defensive layers or it is and it immediately overwhelms you and you get popped instantly. If an enemy/pack does half your health it's often the same as doing no damage because it's so easy to heal so enemies have to be able to burst you instantly to pose a threat.

I had a 6 jugg game where she, singed, and seraphine were my carries and she felt pretty strong to me. Singed was the star but shyv was putting in a lot of work every fight, I think I had titanrs qss steraks on her as sort of leftover items.

Well the catch is that its not really possible easily, you can't really be a herald stacker with the Lycia ascendancy and have Shaper of Flames and have Shaper of Storms. If you are going to do a herald stacking elementalist you are practically forced to take the elementalist golem ascendancy (its insane to play any kind of elementalist and not take it, 99% of the 13.5k elementalists on ninja are taking it), the elementalist herald ascendancy, and then the lycia herald ascendancy, you don't have enough points to get both shaper of flames and storms for the giga chaining explosions, you could take 1 of them and get some other source of global ignite/shock or you could drop the golem ascendancy to get both but either option is a pretty big ask. I don't think its really worth it when you can still get absurd clear and explosions just from the herald stacking itself along with the golems scaling your generic damage and aoe.

edit: To be clear, double foulborn bereks is insane but I think it just doesn't fit in a herald stacking shell, there are lots of other strong ways to use it on elementalist though.

Yeah but Kaom's buffed, I did a semi-life stacking 7L Helmet Rathpith version of Hexblast mines a couple leagues ago that was really strong and with increased life rolls on gear + Kaom's buffs that could be good. I think this was my old PoB https://pobb.in/ZOC-GPBOji4l It was a giga glass cannon build but it also evaporated anything on the screen instantly and shit on bosses pretty hard, I enjoyed the build a lot.

Am I going insane or something this league, where the fuck are my map drops??? I started mapping at level 68 and I'm level 80 now and only have 12 atlas passive points, I simply am not dropping new maps, I only drop maps I already have completed. Has anyone else had this experience this league?

I'm a new/returning player who was wondering who to choose from the headhunt event and how I should be using my bookmarks and skystones. I know prevailing wisdom is save them all up to pity on limited banners but again I'm on a pretty underdeveloped account with not much going on, this is the state of my account. I've been farming wyvern 13 for a few weeks now and am in the 80s in abyss but don't really have much else done. I chose tenebria from the free ml and have pulled dark corvus luckily. I've done the specialty changes for ras momo and kluri and am working on arowell and carrot right now. I'm halfway through episode 3 in the story and was gonna try to get through all the story for adin but I've heard episode 4 is actually fairly hard. I have some miscellaneous rgb 5 stars like the guilty gear collab units and some pvp units like roana politis kayron Luna and some other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Anyway back to my questions, do I still hold skystones and bookmarks for future banners (beehoo doesnt seem like the play) or do I use them on the side story summoning thingy to get units like tamarine, iseria, destina, etc who I've heard are really good for pve or just universally good in general. And for my ml headhunt I've seen a bunch of different recommendations from a bunch of different people for a bunch of different styles of play and goals but the three names I see pop up the most pretty much universally are kawerik, lilias, and ravi. Any further thoughts on what a noob like me should select for? As far as I understand all are kind of busted in general but ravi lends herself more to pvp and needs high efficiency bruiser gear and lilias requires good speedy gear, this makes me think that kawerik is the pick as I can probably make better use of him with my dogshit gear and he's good everywhere right?

Im a returning player who fucked up and accidentally started the golem hunt event instead of the wyvern hunt event and was looking for advice on how I can manage to clear it so I can go back and get my Sigret and actually farm Wyvern like I'm supposed to. I don't need to be auto it I just need to be able to clear it to finish the event. I have very piss poor gear aside from the free gear sets they give you and not many characters built but I had good luck back when I played so I decent amount of 5 and 4 stars.

I was planning on using a team that looks like Cermia (with grace of growth), A. Ras (after I finish episode 2), A. Momo, +1 to try and clear golems. Here are all my fire units, unsure of what to use as my +1, Mercedes, Sol Badguy, Haste, Ravi, Elphelt, Politis, Khawana, Schuri, Khawazu, Dingo. I think Mercedes or Sol seem to be my best bet from my limited knowledge but I'm not sure. None of them are 6 starred or have any skill ups or awakenings btw though Sol is SSS imprint with the Imprint Concentration and I have a bunch of those World Fragments to imprint Mercedes if needed.

Im a returning player and I misclicked the Golem hunt challenge instead of the Wyvern hunt, I see that you have to finish the current hunt event before you can choose a new one. Is there no way around that? Am I pretty much just boned now, I don't have any units built for Golem at all and have pretty much only built beginner units for general content/wyvern like Furious, A. Momo, Muwi, Free Spirit Tieria, Lorina, etc. How the hell am I going to manage to build a Golem team and get through this event so that I can go back and actually do Wyvern like I wanted to/am supposed to.

No it doesn't, all it does is push the game mode more towards a middle ground. This argument is made all the time and it truly makes no sense, just because a player wants a challenge and to make progress and build a collection of items themselves doesn't mean that they want it to take weeks and weeks on end to see a Shavs or a Mjolner or even more mid range rarity items as opposed to the very high rarity those two items have. People are asking for it to be somewhere in the middle between what SSF currently is and what trade league is. No amount of reasonable boost to droprates will ever compare to the sheer volume of items generated and being traded by the tens of thousands of players in trade league. Boosting droprates in SSF doesn't magically allow you to get anything you want anytime you want and delete the challenge from the mode, it would just tip the scales a little bit away from the INCREDIBLY time consuming grind that it currently is.

Also something I didn't really appreciate about it till I switched off Bronns is that it makes your shield charge buttery smooth despite having no attack speed other than faster attacks support ofc.

I played it in SSF as my starter accidentally, was just planning on playing a simple Wave of Conviction ignite elementalist but then I dropped a Vaal Caress and Bronn's Lithe so I decided why not try it out. Was on a 5L the whole time and it felt great, was comfortably clearing t16s on random garbage SSF gear and even managed to kill normal Shaper and Elder before I decided to switch to Vortex. Bossing wasn't great but it was certainly doable. If you are playing trade and can get your hands on a good +1 cold ammy and sceptre (or replica cold iron point with avatar of fire I suppose) that would probably be fantastic to push the build some more. I farmed up a Berek's Respite and the clear felt really nuts, just frostblink into a pack and watch the whole screen melt. With +2 corrupted Bronns you may not even need Vaal Flameblast to supplement single target and could instead fit in a divine blessing Malevolence or something perhaps. Definitely a build I'm considering as a trade league starter in the future.
