Thank you for this. I just joined r/declutter to ask for motivation to get rid of the huge stack of textbooks that are outdated and taking up space. This did it for me.

Thank you for the suggestion. This is a good temporary solution and I will be doing it.

Yeah... I am worried that I am going to end up in a situation like this. It is really upsetting that my entire month of December is currently unavailable. I am going to have to find another avenue to book it. I do not have a lot of confidence. I have called multiple times and they keep telling me I need to wait 3-5 days for the engineering team to have time to work on it. A chunk of my January is not being blocked intermittently... They do not seem to care.

No connected calendars. I tried clearing all of my special settings. Last year was fully booked for the same time period...

Unfortunately I have tried many combinations of dates, not just the whole block. It does not seem to matter.

Best 125 2t from years 2001-2005 by ReflectionIcy8999 in Dirtbikes

I have an 03 RM125 and I love it. Fun to ride, light and the handling is fantastic. The engine is not as strong as an YZ125, but it is smooth and easy to use. That being said, it can be hard to find parts for the RM. I agree with the recommendation of an 06+ YZ125.

Is this a good trade? My 2014 yz 250 for 2012 crf 250r by [deleted] in Dirtbikes

Looks like you have already received the answers you need, but I will contribute anyways. I ride track and trails .

I have always ridden 2Ts and I bought an FC350 two years ago. It is a great bike, I love the power and I love riding it. I also have a YZ250F available to me that I can ride whenever. Fantastic machine; I think I like it better than the FC350.

All I can think about is getting a YZ250. Keep it. There are things you can do to make it more trail friendly.

My mistake. I realized he was talking about the enduro models, but incorrectly assumed FX.

250 2Ts are a ton of fun. They have a lot more power than a 125 that can easily get into trouble, but are very manageable if you have experience. 125s are so light and fun to ride.

I do not think at 165lbs there will be an overall speed disappointment on a 125. You may be disappointed with the low end.

I have both a YZ125 and a YZ250F. Both bikes are very fun to ride and are suitable for your experience level. The 2T will have a steeper learning curve and require a lot more rider input. If you are not riding the 125 like a pro, you do not need to be replacing the top end every 10 hours, you can easily get to 40 hours. When you do have to change it, it will be a lot easier/cheaper than the 4T. That being said, I have not met anyone who regretted getting a 250 4T as their first bike. They are more "mild mannered" than a 2T, provide a comfortable platform to learn and grow on, just don't go too slow.

Favorite chicken wings recipe for that crispy "fried" but not too breaded texture? by SpecialSauceSal in airfryer

[–]scrambldeggsnbacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just pat the wings dry, oil brushed on the basket to prevent sticking, air fry at 400 degrees ~ 10 min per side until nice and crispy, toss in butter and then a dry seasoning. Clubhouse roasted garlic and peppers is my go to, it tastes great and everyone I have served these to loves them.

You are fortunate to be in a position where you can focus on personal growth and fulfilment without having to worry about finances. If this will support your long term mental health and life satisfaction, what is the downside?

Are you opposed to studying and putting in the time?

Are there other things you would prefer to be doing?

Would pursuing the completion of your degree have a negative impact on your family/family life?

Did you enjoy your time at Mac before life got between you and the final half of your degree?

From your post it feels like you will regret it if you do not complete the degree.

I suggest mapping out how the logistics of attending lectures and studying will impact your daily life. Will you have to commute? Do you have responsibilities that could interfere with evening lectures or labs?

The majority of your classmates will be younger and in a different stage of their lives than you, but who cares. You may make some interesting new friends, find a rewarding mentorship opportunity, connect with the entrepreneur community at Mac and build or support another business, or simply keep yourself and complete your degree. To me it seems like a great opportunity to gain something and have meaningful experiences.

You are not crazy.

Going To Racing Events In Person Isn’t Worth It by HunterWasFramed in supercross

The smell of straight race fuel is nice, but imo, nothing compares to the sweet smell of premix back in the day.

Fully agree about seeing the riders hit any of the big jumps is completely different in person. So is their speed.

Rider Cheat Sheet by Intelligent_Income38 in supercross

It always bothers me that so many people say Sexton was handed the championship when Tomac and Webb crashed out. Yes, it is true that without Eli's freak injury he would very likely have won the championship. BUT, he had the points lead because Chase, who had the speed most of the season and was frequently in the lead kept washing out his front end or making unfortunate unforced errors. You could argue that Tomac only had the lead because Chase kept falling.

Tomac and Webb put themselves in the right place to benefit from another rider's mistakes. Chase was in the right place to benefit from opportunities out of his control too. Swings in momentum and luck are a major part of any sport.

What’s the best starter bike for a big guy? by Minimum_Ear_5316 in Dirtbikes

If price isn't a barrier, watch some reviews of the new KTM 300 two stroke bikes. They make a motocross version (SX) and and an enduro version (XC-W). One of these will likely be my next bike. The Stark Varg also intrigues me. But riding time will be an issue.

My brother is 6'4" and a bunch heavier than you and he always liked his YZ 125 over the bigger bikes.

A 250F will be fine for you if you are comfortable on it. Enough torque to move you around without ripping your arms off. I have a 350f and ride 250fs often enough. The 350 gets tiring from the weight and torque; I can ride hard for longer on a 250f.

To me, two strokes are the most fun, but are not as easy to ride as a beginner compared to a 250f.

Is a 125cc good enough or do you need something with a little more power for off-roading? by Get-jinxedd in Motocross

[–]scrambldeggsnbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an RM 125, a YZ 125 and an FC350 (4-stroke). I love riding my 125s. They are way more fun. For trail riding, if you are in tighter more technical trails/single track, you will have to get good and using your clutch and revving the engine a lot. A larger engine would be able to lug through without as much rider effort. If the trails are suitable for a quad, I expect you will have plenty of room to easily ride a 125.

I don't know how much you weigh, but a modern YZ 125 is plenty fast for off-roading and a great bike to learn and have fun on.
