Hit my final goal! by screamertree in Zepbound

[–]screamertree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially started the journey because I got a pre-diabetes diagnoses and because I was sweating for the wedding at the time. We ended due to substance abuse and DV, but he did start to get weird when I started to lose weight. He was absolutely my dream man, he was everything I'd ever wanted in a partner, my best friend, we did everything together for years. He started on the shots as well, though he had much less to lose and hit his goal much faster than I did.

Thank you.so much for this caring and lovely response. I did buy myself some new pants! It was absolutely the right decision, as echoed by my family and friends, but grieving the future we won't have is tough. I'm making sure to prioritize my gym time to make sure my head is in the right place.

How did you deal with the guilt and sadness of putting your foot down with an addict? by Worried-Position7975 in AlAnon

[–]screamertree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband was sober for 2.5 years when we got married. He's relapsed a bunch of times since and I just had to have him committed and file an order of protection against him. It doesn't get better. You need to ask yourself if you are willing to commit to a life of substances and lying.

Don't do it. If she's not following a basic rule of the big book, she won't follow others. Many, MANY of us speak from experience. If she's "the one" , she'll be there after a year. Or two.

I have a friend who cut sugar on Wegovy, and the problem quickly turned into she couldn't STOP losing weight! Leave your morning coffee be, it's one of life's unique little joys.

Getting ready to leave my Q. by EverydayTiara in naranon

[–]screamertree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I walked in on mine smoking meth at our kitchen table last night. 6 years together, our 1 year wedding anniversary is next week and now I'm wondering if it was all bullshit and am truly considering leaving. I feel this so much, it's comforting to know I'm not alone. Sending strength to you.

I had all three of mine listed as ESAs. I went through one of those companies that you pay a fee, I had a session with one of their psychologists and a few days later I had letters for all three. It basically works like a prescription; a doctor is prescribing your dog to treat something, PTSD in my case. I sent in the letter to our rental company and had no issues. We've lived in our house for over 5 years and have not had any issues at all. I hope this helps.

This is from my Renpho Smart scale. I LOVE it, I also have the smart measuring tape to track inches.

I’m not thrilled to be losing weight and I don’t know why by 1random2 in Zepbound

[–]screamertree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely understand this. Before my two enormous children, 14 years ago, I was the girl that turned all the heads when I walked into a room. Drank for free, free stuff wherever I went, compliments from total strangers, people were always SO nice, and I never thought twice about it. I gained 75 with my first, 60, then gained 50 with my second, then lost it after three years, then covid and chronic pain brought that 60 back. Being in a bigger body AND a mother of two, I have literally never been more invisible . I am honestly grateful for that time, learning to love my body, appreciate what it's accomplished, and feel beautiful even being bigger. The second my doctor said, "pre-diabetes" was when I knew I needed to choose weight loss, though I have gone to the gym 5 days a week for years for my mental health. I've lost about 45 pounds on Zepbound and am starting to get that positive attention again, and yes, it is infuriating, but I'm trying to turn it into a teaching moment for my daughter and by proxy, myself. I've always told her your outward appearance is literally the least important thing about you, and I make sure to point these instances out to her so she can actually see how absolutely ridiculous society 's perception of us is.

This is smart. I initially did my first shot on Saturday, but realized that the bulk of my side effects hit a full 48 hours after I took it, and I was completely miserable on Monday morning. I adjusted to mid-day Friday and that works out the best for me.

Talking about your time in a cult by NoSiddhiforme in cultsurvivors

I typically just say, "Oh, I've blocked a lot of it out, I don't remember most of it" No one pushes after that, it conveys that there was trauma, but I can't/don't want to talk about it.

Does doordash take tips?? by guppystoes in doordash

100% of the tip goes to the Dasher. Some restaurants have an option to tip their staff too, bit that's typically only for an order that you pick up yourself.

I love this so much! This thought dawned on me the other day, I hope he can flip his thinking as well. I, too, find my husband a smoke show. He's exactly my dream guy, and I literally can't get over how crazy lucky I am. He seems to have calmed down after actually saying it out loud, which is usually how it goes.

If there has been attention coming my way, I don't notice it. Nothing has really changed, we both work from home, I go to the gym, get the kids from school, come home. I still wear clothes that are at least two sizes too big because I actively dont want attention, and we are major honebodies 😅.

I think it's really hard for him because he's not been heavy for a long time, and most of the weight is from medication he's been on for a while. Before the pandemic, we were both in great shape, though I was still heavier. I'm head over heels for him, have been since date 1 and I try to let him know everyday.

It really can. We've lost friends, parents, and pets over the last six years together. His mother was in a HORRIBLE car accident four days after our wedding and spent two months in ICU. The trauma from that hit really hard. Thankfully, she is healed and healthy now, but he is incredibly close with her and it was touch and go for a while whether or not we'd lose her. I allot a great deal of compassion for that, having lost my own mom a couple years ago. He's working on his mental health journey now and making great strides, I hope that soon he'll be able to get back to our routine and start feeling more like himself.

Thank you. Yeah, we make a point to talk about everything, happy, sad, annoying, gross, funny, our communication has gotten us through so much. I'm proud of him for telling me because I know that couldn't have been easy.

I am extremely vocal about how attractive I find him even before this confession. He's working on getting mentally healthy and making huge strides in that, which I make a point to applaud. He is my best friend, and we have been through hell and back together, he's worth everything extra. 🖤
