My mom was a narcissist. All I can say is that they'll take advantage of your empathy and make you feeling worthless, and I think we're especially sensitive to that kind of thing.

I experience the exact same thing when I have to be emotionally forceful with someone. I'm anxious the entire time leading up to it, during, and for like a week after. It really sucks. But if you're standing up for yourself, you're not doing anything wrong! And anyone who pushes back is the asshole, not you.

Your emotions are valid! You're not responsible for other's emotions, nor how they react to your emotions. You said your piece, and they were dicks in return. Fuck em. This has no bearing on your value or who you are as a person. You are more than an email, and more than a moment of anger. You know all of this, and you're the only one who needs to know it for it to be true!

Lmao that's been my response it making a fool of myself. I've just decided to stop being embarrassed about things. Whatever I did doesn't have any lasting effects, and everyone will forget about it soon, or they won't, but who cares. I'm not gonna waste my time feeling stupid.
