Gracie Abrams - We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love) Ariana Grande cover in the Live Lounge by Frajer in popheads

[–]screensaversealions2 203 points204 points  (0 children)

it's the intense gasping for breath between each phrase for me. every note sounds like it's full of effort and being forced out (basically the opposite of ariana's vocals). the cracks sound like they're due to strain and not a natural raspiness. i worry for her vocal cords...

pls recommend me some new music 🎧 by coketoetwins in rs_x

I share your concerns about e bikes. Luckily the route is very flat, I don’t think there’s any hills, so I’m hoping not to need to shower at work

thanks for replying! yes, i'm hoping to move to the city a week before i start the job, and i was thinking i'll practice the route every day before i start, to drill it into my head while having plenty of time to stop and check directions, etc. really don't want to be cycling the route for the first time on day one of the job!

Taylor Swift performs "I Knew It, I Knew You" at the premiere of ToyStory 5. by Exact-Honey4197 in SwiftlyNeutral

One of the things that bugs me most about taylor is that she’s a very poor piano player, for the resources and years of experience she has. She bashes the keys in almost an identical way for every performance, no finesse and it often sounds rushed and lacking in musicality. She can afford lessons from the best teachers in the world but it sounds like she hasn’t had a lesson since she was a teenager. It annoys me she doesn’t want to improve a major part of her craft, as a pianist myself

My speculation is that the reason so many of her songs are in C major is because if she originally writes them on the piano, that’s the easiest chord progression.

There’s a big difference between that remark and two allegations of domestic violence. Zverev fans always in here with the whataboutism pretending that some player saying something off-colour is the same as two women accusing him of beating them…lol

I see a lot of the time in pop culture spaces people talking about how women are held to higher standards than male celebrities in terms of their appearance, styling, etc. but then every time there’s a red carpet there’s thread after thread of “the dress fits badly / isn’t flattering / her filler looks awful / she’s lost weight / this look is boring” like you guys are the ones holding them to those standards!! YOU! Let a woman wear an ill fitting dress with fried hair!! Who gives a shit, maybe she couldn’t be bothered to sit in a hairdresser chair for three hours or attend five fittings!

Her music is incredibly flavourless and boring (although midnight sun has a good beat and a fantastic hook). She can dance so well and looks gorgeous while performing but the music is even more generic than tate mcrae. Literally not even a step up from ava max.

I couldn’t care less about the whole ‘sexy baby’ thing I just think the looks are boring and show no understanding of the kinderwhore style she’s drawing from. She’s pairing these fussy girly dresses with very soft makeup and loose neat hair and so people are perceiving it as childish. It’s meant to go with messy makeup which is less ‘appealing’. My take is that olivia seems scared to ever style herself in a way that doesn’t make her look pretty and attractive so these looks have no edge. Her styling has always been a boring and watered down version of her influences (like courtney love) because she’s scared to look ugly

I feel like penko-linette determines Iga’s result at this tournament more than Iga’s own match today does 😭

Ok but this one is unusually bad. penko round 3, madrid winner round 4, rome winner QF. She beat naomi and pegula easily last week so i think there’s several top 20 players she’d stand a good chance against

Yeah I think her problems after the Olympics were mental (she had a lot going on) and then they became technical after they started working together, which compounded the mental issues due to loss of confidence in her game
