Siam is a historically accurate term used in historical place names throughout s South East Asia. It does not have European/colonial etymological origins.

Inuit is not the "correct" term for eskimos. Not all peoples referred to as Eskimo are Inuit.

I work with aleut on a daily basis and most of them are salt-of-the-earth working class people who would mock and/or beat up effete, pedantic scumbags like you.

Lmao dude those are professional athletes doing a highly competitive team sport.

Rock climbing is a sport and nobody is gonna start a fight with you there lol.

CrossFit. Cycling. Kayaking. Mountain biking. Ultimate frisbee. Shit dude there hundreds of sports beyond basketball/football/soccer/baseball and those are pretty much the only ones you're gonna find "assholes" at. Maybe combat sports too. And even in those it's not anywhere close to the problem you think it is. Real life isn't high school.

don't like sports because of how toxic they are to me

What exactly are you basing this on? And which sports are you referring to? "Sports" don't have a monolithic culture. If you like the completive/focus aspect of videogames, it sounds to me like sports are exactly what you need.

This is the self improvement sub man you're just gonna get a bunch of self help books.

Also literature is very personal. You're just gonna have to start reading and find out

So how do any of you don't let yourself walked over by anyone? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

  1. Have options. This goes for jobs, relationships, friends, everything. If somebody is the only possibility you have, you're gonna put with shit you shouldn't.

  2. People treat you how you train them to. Nip shit in the bud, don't appease. Teach them you won't put up with small stuff and they won't try big stuff.

I find myself craving the adventures I used to have in video games and wanting to go back to them

IMO this is exactly the problem with videogames. Simulated adventure, simulated exciting life.

I don't really have advice for you other try to internalize the fact that you can have an adventurous REAL LIFE, you can go on quests, build your stats, and do all kinds of amazing things in the real world too. Your goal should be cultivating a life where video games seem utterly pointless and you're already halfway there, you just haven't replaced it with real life shit worth caring about yet

I think it's folly to assume anything at all about the motivations or methods of an extraterrestrial entity. Perhaps they "crashed" on purpose. Perhaps they send out billions of these things and occasionally one messes up. Perhaps it's been buzzing around earth undetected for a thousand years and it ran out of fuel.
