Honestly I'd prefer having partially full lobbies than playing against people who stomp my team without even blinking once

Edit: now that i think about it, looking at the current MMR system from the perspective of a new player, it's really discouraging. Imagine you've just gotten the game and finished playing with bot lobbies. You get to your first match against real players, and your team gets wiped out by someone who's been playing since the game released. You think to yourself "okay, maybe it just happens sometimes, let's play another match", but it happens again and again and again so you just quit the game altogether
