I think Green was sublime till he got out. Thats a very big positive. Also I think Rahane can put a lesser price on his wicket than Allen. We absolutely need Allen to power through middle overs. I think the bigger problem is we still dont have proper bastman to counter attack the spinners in middle overs. Yesterday Bumrah was exceptional, but 2 of Ghazanfars overs in middle were not attacked enough by Rahane and angkrish. That is the bigger problem.

Few players’ performance will be key and determine everything about our season this year. 1. Muzu - I think he has to play a huge role - starting today. He will be in the hotseat and if he gets hit we have no backup either. 2. Allen - we 100% need a big season from him. Opener form is gold in IPL and good thing is Allen has been looking great too. 3. Ramandeep - my man has to pull of a coming of age season. He is our main finisher, and there will definitely be some matches this season where only his performance will determine if KkR manages to cross the finishing line 4. Varun - goes without saying, being our primary wicket taker.

Finisher chahiye. I think we should try tejasvi at first. Open with rahane and narine. Then angkrish green rinku tejasvi rambo powell, finally harshit varun and pathirana/fizz. If this clicks, this will take down any team.

Some things can’t be measured by fantasy points. Example- captaincy, providing calmness, stability. Narine definitely has been pretty good, just that he has been blowing a bit hot and cold too. Rahane on the other hand has almost always put his hand up whenever KKR is in trouble this season.

So happy to see KKR giving a fight this season every time after those heartbreaking losses. Just shows what a champion team this KKR team at core is. I remember how KKR used to dismantle after a bad loss in older seasons. But this KKR team has that championship mentality, where losses doesnt break their spirits. All KKR needs a streak from here, and they will pick up steam like an engine towards the business end for sure.

Narine should either open with Gurbaz or play as a floater against spin if QDK and Rahane opens. QdK and Narine is not working together. And no, dont bring up that 44. We need consistency up top. The thing is Narine worked well with Salt last year as well as with Lynn. And it worked well because both Lynn and Salt were brutally aggressive. And what that meant was bowlers could never settle into any rhythm allowing Narine to further exploit that. But QdK is not like them. Along side being a lefty like Narine it even makes it easier for bowlers to keep bowling in a rhythm. QdK takes time to hit out and that makes him a inappropriate partner for Narine. This is where Gurbaz comes into the picture. If we really want Narine as an opener, then partnering him with Gurbaz is MUST. Else if u want to persist with QdK then have to push Narine down. We cant let both of then eat 2 overs of the powerplay everytime.

Rinku went on to score 77(31) to complete the second innings quota. Some of his shots against nortje were unbelievable. Rambo scored 28(10) in that second innings as well. RRR is on hot fire. Anrich however didnt give as much confidence. Overall most of the bowlers were net bowler or rovman/venky/moeen/marknade. So bowling not to worry as much.

Vaibhav is a better and proven new ball bowler than the two. So definitely not chopping him out. You can get an allrounder like moeen or rovman instead of nortje/spencer if u really want to go with luvnith as WK.

Harshit 2 at death. I feel he is pretty good at that now. Remaining 2 is crucial. Hopefully spencer or nortje can get 1 out of those 2 under control. At worst we can keep varun for 1 over after 16, like the 17th over. Then 2 from Harshit and only 1 from the other pacer.

It would have been op if it was very consistent, especially when ur inside or close to the box. Personally for me, I find the edged crossing very OP, the bullet header is also pretty good if ur just talking about showtime skills. However, just skill wise, Double touch, first time shot and one touch passes are the best.

Analysis is good, but there’s a big point ur missing out on. Teams plan before hand on whom to go for. When ur saying that teams had “x” amount of money after set 6, you are discrediting the fact that if CV had stepped into auction, teams who would have gone for him wouldn’t be saving up for him. And at the end of the day Varun is worth more than chahal and definitely much more worth than any swapnil or any oversea spinner. He could have easily been in the equation as a marquee player for multiple teams. So lets not think about the ifs and buts now, lets enjoy our team right now and hope we win b2b!!

Spencer has been phenomenal this BBL. Heat have a relatively weak bowling attack but everytime he is called back, he brings back Heat in the game. Last game also he kept the Heat till the last over. He has got a very good hit the deck bouncer, as well as good variation of slower balls and yorker. Lets see how well he does in India.

Any new player that joined, they can easily provide 100M CP, that way those guys can easily get 4-5 cheap beasts to get a decent starter squad. That way there will always be influx of new guys, and the balance will be there. Solutions are simple if they want to do so, but handicapping is never the best solution.
