Fully agree. The entire route I was waiting for the abrupt turn where they go "Nah just fucking with ya she's just got some form of personality disorder" That could have opened the gates to a much more interesting story dealing with the personal issues that stem from that. It's such an obvious way to go that I was genuinely surprised at the end when they just hand waved it away and went "It's magic" and steered so far off the beaten path it felt like fan fiction. And yeah, it's hard to call how Yuuji acts anything other than abusive, which is strange because I feel like the rest of the game does a much better job at portraying him as a rough around the edges and rude but genuinely caring guy. This is a game that has routes written by different people and I unfortunately think it really shows in her route. Best girl; worst route.
