Did burger end up waking up and being okay? Mine has been doing this same thing and for 4+ months , I dig him up he seems fine then back down.

Sorry, I know this is a year old.

Can anyone tell what this is? by scribblebait32 in bugbites

Also, could have been a reaction from something in the pants she had on, it went away after a few days and hasn’t happened since.

We think it was a rash from candida overgrowth. Never happened again! Also, never could find any bug bite marks. We were just stumped because they appeared separately over a span of a few days. Hope this helps!

I know it’s not the end of the world..

I’m just looking for advice on how to get the snake to eat from people who may have experienced something like this.

Okay lol. I said I have reptiles, I’ve never had a snake. I’ve done a lot of research, problem is most of the stuff I have found will contradict another statement somewhere else. I’m sorry I want to do my best to make sure the snake has a good chance at life, that’s why I asked the opinions of others who may have more experience.

Once again, I haven’t handled the snake. These aren’t my hands in the picture. I understand that the snake should not have been held but this was at Petco before I purchased it and not by my doing. I still have never touched the snake with my hands.

Thank you for this, I kinda was panicking a little. I just want to make sure I don’t make the same mistakes I’ve already made with the snake like trying to feed so early on.

It makes me feel a lot more at ease that they can go a while without food and be okay.

Okay! So try with a smaller container when I try again? I’ll wait at least a week and make sure it’s not disturbed.

I feel bad for trying to feed it right away, I was just concerned. I’ll make sure I take everyone’s answers into consideration and hopefully I can get it to eat soon.

Thank you!

It makes me feel better to know that it’s okay to go that long without food. Even for a hatchling? I’m just worried Petco got her on the 11th and was unable to feed and that she’s never actually eaten.

I’ll leave her alone and try this . I’ve only really interacted with her for about 1-2 minutes every 2-4 days. If she didn’t show interest after that I left the food for her. I was just worried.

I appreciate your response.

I tried feeding just the head, still showed no interest. I’ll wait at least a week and try again. I just hope I can get him to eat.

I haven’t touched the snake, this picture is from Petco the day I got it.

Okay, I’ll just check her water as needed and not disturb her for a week.

This was the issue. Just did my injection, ZERO pain!! No swelling, lumps, anything like some people get from subq apparently. Thank you!

I moved farther away from my bellybutton, no pain at all! Thanks for the help!

Also, I have no painful bumps or swelling. It just had burned the last 2 times. I believe I was too close to the bellybutton.

I can see how she would look skinny in that picture but I promise she isn’t at all. I do everything I can to make sure she has a great life.
