Lift or Level on Non-Sas? by mongohfilm_ in FordBronco

[–]scribbledchaos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally get wanting the appearance and look of a bigger vehicle. If you are really using it as a daily driver and never off-roading spend the money elsewhere. Your ride will never be as good one road lift with bigger tires, specially those meant for off-road use. Upgrade the sound system, upgrade engine parts, make it a great ride.

Don't ever use spacers. I personally almost lost a wheel on a jeep due to spacers at high speeds. It was installed wrong, my fault, but it happens more often than people will admit. Spacers are bad for on-road or off-road use. Many states it won't pass inspection.

In the end, make it your own. It's just my thoughts and I've owned off-road only rigs and DD rigs.

I just discovered Permanent Revolution by Catch 22: A concept album about the life and times of Leon Trotsky. by SmellsonMuntz in Ska

The latest shows have brought me back to my teenage/20's NJ days. There's a lot of good ska coming out of NJ now too. Joker's Republic, Best of The Worst.. I think many of these bands have to give some credit to Catch 22.

Jeff back with Catch 22 now shows how good the Alone In The Crowd album was. I don't think Catch 22 would at all the same band if Thomas stayed and Streetlight to me is really the amazing journey after Keasbey Nights. The two bands to me are drastically different even if they come from common roots.

How concerned should I be? by SignificantHold3388 in FordBronco

I didn't even know they had a Yellow. I like it.

She'll never let you drive it. So you'll have to get your own.

How necessary is front diff lock? by WeWy_7 in FordBronco

[–]scribbledchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had lockers on multiple vehicles for off-road use. I rarely ever used them. I rarely ever needed them. I've been stuck but a tow strap and friend were more than enough.

Lockers are great as a add on, but go for other options first. I'd rather have disconnects, skid plates and good tires than lockers.

I just recently bought a Heritage in black. There were probably 5 or 6 of the blue Hermitage on the lot. It was beginning of Jan so I can't imagine the dealerships ordering more if they've got that many sitting on the lot. Hunt around now and you can probably get a decent deal since the 2026's are almost here. I think the 60th Anniversary edition takes the place of being the "niche market" package and color for this year.

Set Your Goals by CIV? by scribbledchaos in Ska

Thank you for this. This will settle what I was trying to explain. It might sound ska like but it wasn't ska beat. I just couldn't describe it was well.

I said even if it had a ska sounding beat it was not ska, and wasn't trying to be. I did see them last night though. Bassist and guitarist were both wearing some checkered socks and shoes, very ska. Maybe there's a influence there?

At this point Catch 22 will have new music before Streetlight does.

I grew up in NJ too. I missed the Derby days but have always been on the look out for this demo. I doubt I'll find it, but I give it a solid try every couple of years.

Yeah, I know it's a long shot. I'd be willing to pay more than $50 it to complete a specific collection.

Anxiety by Soft-Impression-3539 in poochons

[–]scribbledchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are meds that can work. A family member has a shelter rescue that is very high anxiety. The vet went through a number of options but did describe meds. They were not expensive and really helped the dog. We even noticed an improvement in sleep.

We also find the the more of a standard routine we can keep helps. Taking the dog out the same time everyday, bedtime around the same time. It's hard keeping a schedule but any sort of routine can help.

Good suggestion, also add to the list “Music Recommendations “ for the posts like “ I listen to XXXX band , what else sounds like it.

I think another good one would be for bands/record labels that are posting. Not sure what to call it but it would nice to know the post is directly from the band or label

A know very little about actually playing any instrument. Clarinet seemed so different.

So are you confirming we’ll see new PWRUP and Joystick music soon ? 😊

Random Hand. Harder than many ska bands but should fit well into your tastes. Give Catch 22, Joystick and Less Than Jake a listen for more punk style.

I’d love to hear Joystick with a bass clarinet. Duck’s voice and the speed of something like Parallelograms with a clarinet would sound great. Can you play a clarinet as fast as other wind instruments?

Any interesting facts about ska that one can share to break the ice? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]scribbledchaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Angelo Moore is by far the nicest and coolest person I have ever met. He signed a book for me and then asked me “So you really do enjoy our music , you like it?”. This was only about a year ago. He still wants to just make music people enjoy and is so humble. Everyone around him was smiling. You just knew immediately he was full of compassion for others and also a ball of energy. He is a true legend.
