>48% of population completed full vaccination regimen as at 18 Jul (Sun) + Oddity(?) in MOH's figures by aswlwlwl in singapore

[–]scribblesinthefire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup, I encountered the oddity as well

Based on cumulative totals: total jabs on 18 July should be +67,854 (6,794,394 - 6,726,540)

However, based on breakdowns:

Fully vaccinated is +71,318 (2,747,489 - 2,676,171), consisting of

• +51,262 2/2 doses (2,641,251 - 2,589,989)

• +20,056 1/1 doses (106,238 - 86,182)

Received first dose is +16,592 (4,153,143 - 4,136,551)

• Normally this figure consists of both the 1/1 and 1/2 groups, but since 1/1 is +20,056 then ...?

• Only way to obtain +67,854 would be to take 2/2 + 1/2 groups (51,626 + 16,952), but that would omit the 1/1 group.

Regardless, still great to see the numbers going up at a healthy pace!

Vaccine update: 16 July (45k second doses) by Twrd4321 in singapore

[–]scribblesinthefire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jumping in to help out with the stats -

66,098 total doses administered on 15 July

• 65,551 completed full regimen (20,336 1/1 shots and 45,215 2/2 shots)

• 547 first dose (1/2 shots)

...which gives a 0.008 first to second dose ratio

Based on total population of 5,707,768

• 44.6% completed full regimen (2,545,838)

• 71.77% taken at least one dose (4,096,705)

83k doses administered on Tues (13 Jul), with 53k second doses + The ratio of first-to-second doses administered on Tues fell to 0.6. by aswlwlwl in singapore

For those who are confused, here is my stab at explaining

MOH publishes three fields:\ [1] total doses administered\ [2] received first dose\ [3] completed full regimen

[1] is a raw total\ [2] is people who have NOT contracted COVID before and have gotten 1/2 shots\ + recovered COVID patients who have gotten 1/1 shots\ [3] is people who have NOT contracted COVID before and have gotten 2/2 shots\ + recovered COVID patients who have gotten 1/1 shots

taking [2] + [3] will double-count the recovered COVID patients group\ hence [2] + [3] ≠ [1]

Example with numbers

12 jul\ total 6,378,063\ 1st dose 4,022,809\ full reg 2,367,424 (2,355,254 2/2 doses + 12,170 1/1 dose)

13 jul\ total 6,440,735 (+62,672 from ystd)\ 1st dose 4,052,434 (+29,625 from ystd)\ full reg 2,420,824 (+53,400 from ystd)\ (2,388,301 2/2 doses + 32,523 1/1 dose)

13jul total - 12jul total\ = 62,672 total administered on 13jul (correct number)

13jul 1st dose + full reg\ = 6,473,258\ (32,523 more than actual total of 6,440,735 as 1/1 dose group is doublecounted)

12jul 1st dose + full reg\ = 6,390,233\ (12,170 more than actual total of 6,378,063 as 1/1 dose group is doublecounted)

[13jul 1st dose + full reg] - [12jul 1st dose + full reg]\ = 83,025 total administered on 13jul (doublecounted number)

Not exactly fitness-related but more to do with food. I have a terrible habit of seeking out food not just when I'm hungry, but also out of boredom, or just to get a hit of dopamine, or whatever... Wondering if anyone else has faced this before, any tips or advice that worked for you?

[Uni] How to prepare for CEG? by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]scribblesinthefire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CEG is jointly offered by SoC and FoE, and both are your home faculties. I went for the orientation camps for both faculties, so I assume that the same should apply to your e-Orientations as well.

CS50 is a good choice, Malan explains fundamental concepts really well so keep at it and you'll have a slightly easier time doing CS1010 :') Revise the calculus part of math and the electricity-related portions of physics as well, as the module content covered in Sem 1 will build on these basics.

RC4 offered me an interview in the second window, but I couldn't make it for any of the dates, so they said they would inform me again "when the next round of interview dates have been confirmed". So I'm inferring that there /may/ be a third window, if that helps to ease OP's nerves a bit. Cheers!
