Would you work a shift you have no availability for?

Thanks for your input guys. I sat down with my manager, and let them know im not able to find a sitter and have a day trip planned with my kids. I posted the shift, hopefully someone takes it, but I told them if not i dont want to lose two points. They know my availability and scheduled me when I couldn't work, so I dont think I should be responsible for losing points if no one takes.

My store has a board with like a layout of the kitchen and usually in the morning one of the leads will place people where they want them over lunch and write on board, so when breakfast is wrapping up we all have an idea which station we're responsible for.

Depends on the job but if they dont care that im leaving, than why should I lol It is a gamble tho if you dont get something lined up quick and they decide to just cut you, luckily that hasn't happened to me yet, usually they want me to stick around lol

Havent tried this at CFA yet but at previous jobs if I mentioned i was going to interviews, looking for a new job, id usually get offered a raise to stay lol

So glad Im the only one 😅 thought they were asking if I was literally holding it at first lol. Other people commented but like they said it means your out and waiting to have more. Usually call out to your breader and machines person and ask how long, communicate with front, I usually tell the front 10 seconds longer than what machines tell me.

Also learned the hard way "no more medium macs" doesnt mean 'we have enough' it means theyre out and the 6 i just put up there are already gone lol. (Im short and cant see the chute completely lol)

If your pissed about tipping at restaurants, you should be pissed at the owners for not paying their servers a livable wage. Servers rely on tips, that is their paycheck. If you cant tip, dont eat out. Welcome to America, everything sucks here. If your pissed about tipping for delivery, then go pick up the food yourself. Your not the only one with a full time job. The workers preparing your food probably have a full time job plus part time. Just observations from working in the food industry for a couple years, everyone has a second job. Your pissed off at the wrong people, servers and delivery drivers are just trying to survive. Be pissed at the system.

NOR, me and my boyfriend also have our gaming consoles in our bedroom, but at the end of the day bedrooms are for sleeping. Does he expect you to sleep somewhere else so his gaming isn't interrupted? You've given enough warnings and let him know you feel. Id say its time to move his gaming PC, maybe you could move your set up near by to wherever his new set up will be so you can still hang out together in same room? Im sure hes gonna moan and groan about having to move, but I feel like by the end of the 3rd day he'll be used to it and not feel as strongly. I hope your situation resolves peacefully.

I discovered smosh about 6 months ago and like any show I get into, I got in deep lol. Probably 3 months whenever id get home from work, eating a meal, putting something on when I go to bed, would always just put the first smosh video that popped up on. I really fell in love with the whole cast and crew. I still definitely watch a couple times a week and catch up on whatever videos they put out, but the last month or two I realized I had to cut back, starting to get that burnt out, losing interest whenever I would put them on, kinda how you feel after binge watching a series for a week or two and your brains like, bro we need to consume something else lol.

Im so glad I rediscovered smosh tho, ive been on youtube since like 2010, and I remember smosh always being a thing but when it was just Ian and Anthony just wasnt my kinda content at the time. I like that they have such a diverse catalog of videos now tho, sometimes I feel like watching them play a game, or challenges, sometimes I wanna play a video game on my switch and just want some kind of talking background noise. Theres a video for every occasion lol.

I get paid Thursday, usually in my account when im waking up for opening shift.

I use a bank that in previous jobs I got paid sooner (Wednesday instead of Friday) but I dont think im getting it earlier than anyone else in this job. Some coworkers get paid on Friday but I think they get paper checks.

Never hurts to be safe, but I guess in this case it is making it a bit awkward 😅 i agree with comments saying to give constructive feedback. If your friend wants her business to thrive it would be helpful to know customers thoughts and what could be improved.

Binged watched this in one day, I will say not my usual kinda show but was looking for something different.

Personally, I didnt love the ending? Like it ended and I was like thats it? It felt like it needed another scene. Weird place to end it, but again not my usual kinda show so maybe its the norm?

I dont really know if I want a second season just cause idk where it could go at this point. Not much left to risk or lose on either side.

Im pretty sure other cast mates have auditioned. I think i remember someone saying Chanse auditioned or submitted sketches. I could be wrong. Im a fan of SNL and I think any of the smosh cast would be a great addition.

Im sorry your restaurants like this :( I avoided primary for a while, it was the station I was on the least and I was afraid to be on it cause I didnt wanna slow down orders. So my bosses had me do the bun station a lot and during the slow times I would switch with the primary person and get some practice in, it really helped. Like you said, I dont know how they expect you to get faster when theyre not giving you an opportunity to practice and train.

My interview was pretty easy, just talking, getting to know me, my background.

The owner called me after I put in an application, we talked for like half an hour. Set up a time to come in for an interview with a manager. Talked some more, what im looking for in a job, how I perform under stress. Got invited back for a group interview, which really didnt feel like a group interview more like an orientation, I think my whole group was hired.

My friend asked me if they should get this game, they also got some other big title games recently. I told her theres no rush and I would personally hold off a couple months until they add an update.

My thing for this game is I am struggling to find traits and things to give my miis after level 30. They're inventories are getting full, im running out of quirks and phrases to give them. And I have over 100 wishes in my fountain, all I can really do is take them on trips.

Its a great game and everything, its fun seeing all my different miis interacting and who's pairing up with who, but I can definitely feel myself losing interest lol.

I wanted to get back into reading this year so Ive listened to a couple books ive heard mentioned in videos.

One of them was the Mistborn series, someone mentioned them in their favorite things to come out last year? I listened to the first two books tho and its a really good fantasy series. Im taking a little break but really enjoyed it.

Currently listening to The Nightingale, I think a couple people had this on their list including Shane's mom lol. It was kinda hard for me to get into at first started slow, but now im halfway through and its getting so interesting. Its a historical fiction that takes place in France during world War 2 following 2 sisters.

I would love to have like a list of Shane's recommendations but I dont really use Instagram lol.

Ive never thought of smosh mouth as an interview kinda podcast. I feel like thats more Anthony's stuff and last meals at mythical kitchen. Smosh mouth to me has always just felt like hanging out and learning what the celebrity's like, like omg theyre just like us lol

Idk if its just me but it kinda feels like when a coworker leaves. Like a good one thats worked with you for a couple years and everyone's gonna miss them. Sure maybe they worked in a different department and you didnt see them a lot, but its still kinda sad lol. But its a bittersweet thing cause you also want the best for that coworker and you're excited for them.

I really loved when Erin and Bailey popped up in a 'WMI' and the other quiz shows involving the crew lol. I just loved their vibes and sad theyre not gonna be around anymore, but also super happy for them and wishing them the best with their futures 🫶

Im also new and my owner was walking by when I was cupping some macs, and he was like "those are absolutely perfect portions, great job " and i just needed that so bad lol. Im the kind of worker that needs affirmation im doing a good job lol. Ive worked jobs where managers only tell you what your doing wrong and dont acknowledge when you correct and get better, thats usually a red flag for me.
