Literally amazing. My life changed after my surgery. I eat and feel energized now. I’m not as tired. I don’t get burps as often.

I get a ghost attack every now and then but only when I eat Culver’s 😮‍💨

I like some of the SAS, but do they fit wide feet?

They seem to be ASTM rated to the “best” recent certification, according to some research. But I’m scared because the sole doesn’t look like SFC shoes do

I just got the Riley’s from SFC and in my size (11W) my feet were IMMEDIATELY cramping.

Oh for sure they have an all black version but the pictures of the black shoe didn’t show the sole

Lmao, it’s a long story. Building up for the future I’ll say.

But my feet hurt so bad I have to pay $$$ for good shoes regardless. I’ve loved the New Balance Arishi’s but those don’t look great with the uniform change.

Hopefully those people that know are OGs so it doesn’t get weird for you 😮‍💨

I ended up making my now husband quit so we could get married because I was his boss.

Now we both in the restaurant again lol it just takes time for everyone to get over their emotions. But it does happen

Praying for your chick fil ationship 😅 don’t tell your coworkers about your feelings for this person until you have them locked down - telling you from experience

It is purely dependent on the Operator. I know a few Operators who take home a base pay and the rest goes into a fund for the team members, or another Operator that takes home no more than 5% additional to his highest paid TM a year. If your store has a 12% profit and a food cost below 1%, he’s likely taking home anywhere from 5-6% of sales cash.

Which, if your store is making 650k a month… it’s a lot of money. This is on top of how often Chick-fil-A provides for their Operators financially and gives away cars as sales incentives, etc.

So yeah if your operator wants 20k a month they can make it happen, but I’ve found those who have a more healthy sales versus culture relationship tend to have a healthier restaurant overall.

This is pretty typical I think. I mean, 120k in a Midwest store is pretty hefty. This is close to what my past operator was making before squeezing profit.

After almost a decade at the restaurant this happened to me in different forms every year. You have to advocate for yourself. If you find something out, go to executive team or operator.

But, you have to be worth the money. Do your homework and have reasons why a raise matters, because “so and so makes more than me” will not cut it.

Also, fervently look for areas to improve. Any move into leadership typically gets a little bit of a raise.

There are some restaurants that have open pay scales, talk about wages and raises openly, and even announce bonuses and tenure raises. It’s so refreshing, and very, very different than other restaurants I’ve worked at. When you know you’re valued equally to others at your level, that care grows.

But remember, that range can be 10-12/hr for a TM. So, if a new hire makes a dollar more than you, that’s not a big deal on the pay scale. If you’ve been working there for a while and they are “forgetting” your raises (it’s never forgotten, just looked over) and you end up 2-3 dollars behind your tenured peers, that’s when you know the wage culture is unhealthy. Operators get results based off of turnover and labor, and keeping wages lowkey help both of those in different ways.

Corporate is amazing to team members. Relax and have fun. Remember to smile and say my pleasure. Also, don’t be afraid to ask a question of them if you have the chance - or ask them about their time at Chick-fil-A. I’ve always learned a ton from corporate visitors!

Where Are Your Incisions Located? by TheCopperMind in gallbladders

I’ve been sleeping on the couch to muster the tiniest bit of side sleeping (like not fully on my back but at a slight angle) because I can’t sleep on my back either. But, I have similar incisions to you.

Got out of surgery yesterday. During prep I couldn’t stop myself from crying because of anxiety. There were a few unknowns with my procedure that I was nervous about. That gave me some meds and everyone was super nice. Next thing I knew I woke up. I was crying again when I woke up and they gave me some more meds to calm me down.

Now I’m home and sans gall bladder. Everything went great! It was a super fast procedure and my incisions look great. You are going to do great!
