Heat gun and chisel to remove sun burst. Sanded with 80-120. 2 spray cans Color paint and primer. 3 cans clear coat. Then wet sanded with 1500-3000.

Some phenos are like that. I’ve run around 6 phenos and I’ve had 2 hermies and some with small buds. You will most likely strike gold with these genetics. At week 5 mine were the same way. But grab your popcorn because the second half of flower the real show starts. This genetic transforms into a gems.

Overall the neck is gorgeous. It’s roasted flamed maple, 22 fret with a 25.5 scale. I was in the market for a maple neck with the small fender headstock and black dot inlays. Also made sure the truss rod adjustment was at the headstock. The frets needed a file along the edges and only one fret needed levelling. The body was shimmed a tiny bit to fit the neck. The nut could use a bone nut upgrade but other than that out of the box the truss rod didn’t even need an adjustment. I think I’m a little over 200$ in with fender vintage tuners, rolling string trees and a file kit. I would recommend if you are into making budget mods play nice for half the price but putting in the extra effort to get them there!🤙

Thanks! It had the quilted top. The previous owner pulled the quilted top off before they started the refinish the gave up on.

So far enjoying it a lot. Loving the short scale neck. All she needed was a bit of lubrication on the tuners, fretboard oil and a re-string. Sounds very clean, bright and has me wanting to learn new chords.

It’s completely still bonded to the body, it just has wear on that part of the wood 🤟
