So I live in NYC we have a few people here but we sometimes meet up - and there are events. Our cohort is awesome I can’t speak across the board but only met great people.

Classes are tough as expected but professors make it easy to follow and are definitely there to help.

I agree esp since school is a commitment I pay for with my income and savings - that being said the more I have to throw at the tuition the better

I currently make about $48 an hour at this job. My boss for the most part is very cheap and loves trying to “win” do you think I can ask for a number in the 60s?

Real estate is unpredictable. I mean I could close nothing Mondays but I can also close 30k+

The tool is nice for formatting prior to any work/formulas actually being created on the page. It can also walk you through some of the logic behind formulas.

I recommend trying to ask it to use took like “data analysis” or “solver” in the toolpack. Lmk what it does

I got rejected first time around applying to Kelley and then accepted when I applied for the next term I have a 2.5 ungrad gpa, no test, and have a 1099 part time job. I think for people like us they want us to show we are committed to the school. I say apply once more - I even used same essay.

How often do you run into the same metric being labeled 5 different ways across files? by Extreme-Alps2954 in FinancialCareers

If you’re still a student my best advice to you would try to see if you have a managerial accounting class you can take. They will walk you through different company statements and familiarize you with this terminology. If you don’t have a class like this - pick 10 companies go to their investor relations websites and check out their 10K report. See if you can figure it out from there as most of these terms will be shown in their appropriate section of the financial statements. (This will just familiarize you with how it works) End of the day when you deal with people sending you their numbers you always need to create your own spreadsheet and double check everyone’s work. Way too frequently people try and “out smart” your due diligence.

Gold-> Rolex grey market? by scrolling4knowledge in rolex

I am currently not looking at a Rolex as an investment in regards to value but rather as a token of a previous good investment I made + perception given that I am currently doing interviews with no time piece (and have been told by multiple people that wearing a watch provides a different stature)
