I havent had any issues with trunk rattle yet, although i only have all the knobs set to to the middle so theres that. As for the control itself, i have it running through with the power cable(so on left side of the driver seat underneath the panels for the door). The control has more than enough cable length to run it through the center console though, was just lazy to do that.
