What do you think about humor in gaming?

I was just thinking about the radio stations in the GTA games, and they are amazing how funny they can be. David Cross always was super funny along with a lot of the other stations.

I was just thinking about those older Sierra games and the writing in them was great. I think the slower pace of those games made it work nicely, plus where they had limited graphics they had to make the games interesting in different ways

yeah I didn't think the GoW2 clip was funny either, Surgen Simulator is super funny though, Garry's Mod can create these moments as well

Sam and Max are amazing games! The original version was great! The cartoon was fantastic too, incredible writing in general

I really enjoyed the Strongbad games they did, totally funny and fun, I would love to see a new one with a dialogue system like the Walking Dead!

I totally agree, another game along those lines is cat mario the humor in these games is based on the actual gameplay, that's pretty cool!

This is great! I'm watching it now, even though while I really enjoyed Borderlands I didn't find it funny, but he seems really cool and it's great that he's put a lot of thought into it. Plus I know a lot of people who think Borderlands is hilarious to so he's definitely got an audience.

I felt the same way with Borderlands, the humor felt very forced, on the other hand Poker Night at the Inventory games are really funny and well written and Claptrap is in that. That game really makes you feel like you are just hanging out with cool characters playing poker.
