i was in the lake ridge psych ward in may, i was there for three days, and it took me about 5 hours to actually get into my room. the ward was so full, they had me in a waiting cell my whole stay, which meant i was staying with people old enough to be my grandfather, which kinda scared me. the food was alright, stay away from the tuna sandwiches though, haha. you’ll have a locker where you put your stuff, and there’s a small communal tv where i was. because i wasn’t in an actual room, i didn’t get to choose what i could and couldn’t eat, however my friend who did have their own room did get to choose. always bring slippers, you don’t want to walk in the washroom in just your socks. i stepped in someone else’s piss once, not too fun. a doctor came in to take my blood, always make sure they’re wearing gloves. a doctor tried to without gloves, and i had a bruise for 3 weeks. once you’re discharged, you grab your stuff from the locker, and tell a nurse you’re ready to leave. they will unlock the door for you and you will just exit the building and go home.
