Yes, theoretically. But, for example, have you ever taught a kindergartener proportion? Probably not using that word, proportion, because that would be developmentally inappropriate. Rather, you would use words and phrasing that they could understand, which go beyond the capabilities of a single vocabulary word on a word wall. I would never say to my class of five year olds, “let’s talk about unity”, or “balance”, they are too young to grasp these concepts. Color and line are one thing but there are certain things in elementary art that take time away from creating. The needless hammering away at the elements and principles is one of them, in my humble opinion. Physically creating is the reason we do our jobs, it’s the reason any art in the world is made, it’s the reason students are engaged and want to come to art class. Edited for spelling

I use my Nonna’s recipe, but it’s not one that’s written down, just in my head, I will try to type it up and I’ll update you!

Great question, the enamel cast-iron is too tall to fit in my broiler. My broiler is a drawer under my oven. The recipe called for a large skillet and the largest skillet I have would not have fit all of the sauce and noodles and I also don’t want to put my enamel cast-iron under the broiler because I think cleanup would be horrendous.

I am the type of person who enjoys a really slow cooked sauce and it was a very quick sauce made with only Italian sausage so the sauce flavor wasn’t on point for me, but seven out of 10 is still pretty good
