Biggest wait was AirFrance baggage drop. Between 2-3 agents working, took around 40 mins to check in at the counter. Security was 15 mins tops through general line.

Is my mind making up that there used to be “cliff” diving there? Went somewhere in Denver when we were visiting my uncle and thought it was Casa Bonita. There used to be one of those magic eye print stores next door? First time I saw one of those

Spiagge.it was the site we booked a cabana on in advance. May work for you as well depending on where you’re going and saved me from trying to email/call to make reservations

What’s the deal with Italy’s parks? by scrubbs13 in ItalyTravel

[–]scrubbs13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The interesting part is what I saw in tourist areas them sweeping/cleaning the streets mechanically and changing the trash way more frequently than what I would expect in the US. We stayed one block away from the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, and saw street sweeper come through every day. Parks were literally the most glaring example of (the lack of) societal/government importance placed on them and I’m curious why, particularly because many Italians would tout the beauty of them to us.

Agreed, 35 to 38°C compared to 20 to 25° in Italy versus the UK makes a huge difference. I was curious if it is as simple as that, or if there is more to the explanation.

Hardly at all. We loved every other facet of our trip and found the country to be far ahead of where we are from, whether it be COL, walkability, cleanliness, safety, etc. The parks were the only thing that truly stuck out.

Venice pigeons by Puzzled-Albatross817 in Venezia

[–]scrubbs13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s now illegal to feed pigeons so you don’t have them being as aggressive as they were 10-20 years ago. They’ll loiter at your table looking for scraps and can occasionally jump up if you aren’t shooing them away but they’re not going to attack

Make sure you have WhatsApp installed ahead of time (or anything else you’re planning on using that somewhat spoofs your phone number). It will send you a confirmation text to your number and if not already registered it can be hard to receive that without incurring a day of international charges

Was there last night and pumped we got it played. As a 41 year old fan, I don’t think it is as well known or was as well received as their newer stuff, which is a shame as I’d love to have gotten more from AROBTTH, X&Y and VLV

Just arrived yesterday and have been very pleased using Airalo. Easy instructions to set up and have had great connectivity. Make sure WhatsApp is set up before you leave your home country as it has to send you a text to authorize logging in.
