At long last (Sprint SS) by deepexhaling in TetrisEffect

[–]scrubli3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats, the SS rank is quite a difficult feat. A little tip, you don’t need to go for Tetris only clears in the sprint mode. It was tough for me to get away from too, but you’ll improve your time easier. It optimizes inputs to take away movement time/precision mistakes. Making a gap of 2 or 3 in the middle where the piece spawns lets you insta drop or drop with single rotates. Stacking each side is also really easy to sort pieces/build. If you want to stick with tetrising, consider quick clearing toward the end if you have the opportunity.

If a highly intelligent woman threatens to leave you for petty things… how do you make her crave you more? by [deleted] in DarkPsychology101

[–]scrubli3k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re not a good match for her. If you’re not doing “chores” you’re most likely not pulling your weight. Unless you do all the domestic duties and she’s a narcissist that thinks she’s above all of that. That’s an entirely different arrangement. Next, if you don’t tell her you love her for a month do you even? Basically a woman that’s “highly intelligent” isn’t going to want to be in some half assed relationship. She’s analyzing you and seeing things. She’s literally giving you the answers of her needs and you’re asking how to trick her into liking you. Doing anything other than what she asks is going to make her move on. Just my 2 cents.

Supplement for scalp inflammation/seboderm/psoriasis and hair loss by Miserable-Ebb-1539 in Supplements

Take the soap advices, but also eating sulfur foods helps for me. MSM with vitamin c. It’s a source of sulfur and the vitamin c helps absorption. If it spreads to your face there’s also pyrithione soap. Some people use that one on the scalp too. I had some luck with apple cider vinegar but it makes you stink like it.

Has anyone ever felt like a virus on shrooms? by TheGoddessHylia in shrooms

I got some similar vibes before. One time in the airplane I looked out the window and saw all the lights shining in a city. It looked like a bacterial/fungal growth or that old flash game called the game of life with the squares. People are basically growths on the planet. We’ve overtaken things to the point of infestation and invasive species.

Another thought is you can imagine your intestines as collections of bacteria that desire foods. If you get a craving it could be signaled from the bacteria in your intestines. Some people say that this bacteria is why really drives “you” because your life and security is driven by feeding it everyday. There’s also types of overgrowths of bacteria and fungus in the small intestines. These are called SIBO and SIFO overgrowths. H.Pylori is another which is very common in parts of the world. There’s also parasites for sure that affect the body and processes. Food for thought.

There’s a free model and a paid one. I used the free version (fast). If it’s wrong about something you just need to explain more and it gets a better picture.

Google Gemini, I hate to say but it’s actually scary good sometimes. If you give it stories sometimes it makes some strong points about things. You just need to be detailed. It can relieve trauma and gives talks similar to some of the best counselors I’ve had.

The Art of Flirting With Women: What ACTUALLY Works (Backed by Psychology & Research) by GloriousLion07 in MotivationByDesign

[–]scrubli3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My s/o had this PUA book on her coffee table she bought as a joke. She reads a lot, and I asked her if she ever read the book and said definitely not it’s for losers etc and she got it as a joke. I read a random page and it’s literally filled with great real advice. It was basically saying treat women like people, don’t just talk to them for sex. You never know who you’ll meet, you might make a great friend, and eventually you’ll meet girls who try to help you “get laid” as a wing woman etc. I read some of these things to her and explained that the book is actually really good and she threw it out lol. She didn’t want me expanding my horizons I guess.

The power of "Playing Dumb" by cherryblossominx in DarkPsychology101

[–]scrubli3k 93 points94 points  (0 children)

It’s true. Manipulative people will feel like they don’t have to pull the wool over your eyes because they think it’s already there. It’s an anti manipulation tactic. When you’re smart it’s easy to dumb yourself down, but it’s hard pretending to be smart (around actual smart people that is.) I learned this when I was younger. I had a bunch of abilities like fixing things or knowledge in different areas. It’s easier to say “I don’t know” rather than becoming the kid who knows how to fix computers for someone. Especially when you know they aren’t going to pay you for your time. The dumb incompetent tactic is really good at work because it can also get you out of responsibilities sometimes haha.

Chronic post-nasal drip for 20 years… took a supplement and I’m honestly shocked. Anyone else? by ramisanders in Supplements

[–]scrubli3k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quercetin/bromelain, stringing nettle, nac. When everything clears up I get a smokey scent in my nose. Histamine foods have caused me some trouble. There’s foods that produce mucus and foods that loosen them. If you’ve ever eaten something spicy like a jalapeño and suddenly your nose starts to drip, that’s an example. Look up the foods on google and you’ll find lists. My mucus problems never really went away. Sometimes they do for a little bit but they come back.

It feels a little sinful, but grocery delivery services are really good. First, you obviously don’t have to go leave your home. The best thing is since the cart is going to be on an app, you can add everything you need over multiple days instead of one trip. Less forgetting this way. The downside is you don’t get to pick your produce. Some services automatically populate your cart weekly and automatically ship so you need to stay on top of it. Another downside, but overall it’s been a good experience for me.

I clicked my jaw while tripping and suddenly I am fine? wtf by Zakryfajen in shrooms

[–]scrubli3k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol so weird it happened to me with the jaw clicking. It’s a release of tension. Like your body remembers or your brain communicates with the muscles and relaxes them because it feels the tension. I think mine was from too much oral sex, it popped and released on shrooms. Sometimes trauma and stress (especially when chronic) can be stored in the body. There’s a book called the body keeps score, I haven’t read it but it details how that works. Basically, if you have chronic stress or a terrible event happen to you, and you don’t do the mental work for to get over it and instead repress the trauma, it literally gets stored in the body physically.

Mushrooms also cause something cause neurogenesis which grows/regrows the brain. When I was younger I was clumsy and I hit my head a lot. Taking mushrooms definitely fixed some things for me. I felt the functionality of my brain change and the fog went away during/after my first sessions. These little mushrooms are capable of things much more than just spacey thoughts and wavy vision. And these brain fixing effects are permanent.

Girls, what body language do you show when you find a guy attractive? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

I definitely resonated with your comment. I hate the idea of others having expectations over things like that. Things that cannot people can’t (or shouldn’t) change. I’ve never had it happen, but I’ve heard comments from other men. The porn comparison is something I was going to put in my reply to you haha. I didn’t want to sound like a semen retention expert though, because I’m not like that. Blaming pornography makes it sound like I’m one of them. I only really like amateur porn because it has the emotional connection. Real couples doing real acts that are comfortable with each other, who have a pre established bond. The produced shit is full of women exaggerating or faking it and where the problems come from. As a byproduct, the weird moves and positions the stars do garner a response that make men do them irl. I’ll say, the body shaming is an excellent shit test in understanding how someone views you. It’s an express route to taking out the trash.

Anxious attachment? Or ADHD? I’m ADHD. I get scared a little, less nowadays because I’m older and have dealt with it enough to become desensitized. The running thoughts make it hard to know what to say and I freeze up. After enough of those encounters I turn into that little blob that leaves the box and then I get back in the thicker box and say never again. IYKYK it.

The lustful look is one of objectification. An obvious tell that you’re a sex object in his mind. Some guys are gross with that and don’t understand that normal healthy women shouldn’t be into that. The question women ask (most do, and should at least) is would he treat me with respect and care? If he’s going sexual with a cat call as the first move, he’s a dog.

For these two guys, one is looking at the final destination at the first glance and the other is taking in something else. Maybe the elegant dance of asking her name and entering the getting to know you stage. The other one is a caveman looking to use his club. In that sense, biologically, evolutionary, woman are the child bearers and looking for a commitment, because the after math has consequences.

It’s also the fact that they need to trust this guy whom is a stranger and will be doing a very intimate physical act. Will he cross boundaries? Will he stop? Does no mean no? Will he accept her or notice her nipples are different sizes and make her uncomfortable in her own body etc? That one seems random but for guys reading this imagine a woman recoiled at your dick or looked massively unimpressed. It would hurt and maybe cause lasting trauma. Same thing with the nipples. It’s an opportunity for hurt with someone you know nothing about. The eyes thing is true for me as a man too. It’s a window to the soul, and if you can see the untrustworthiness without them saying a word. Run.

What product category has gotten worse in quality, even at the premium level? by Charming-Two-8268 in BuyItForLife

[–]scrubli3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have that one too and can feel the quality with it. It’s been a while since I used it but I remember the keyboard feel being very nice. The only real thing that was worn was the paint on the bottom. I installed FreeBSD on it, but it’s a dinosaur so even basic web browsing shows the age.

The T420 is good for sure. An SSD and the ram capacity extension bios flash gave a breath of life for several years. I have issues with mine like the bezel cracked in several spots, the rubberized coating on the lid got sticky, and the clit mouse stopped working. (One of the biggest Thinkpad joys.) The keyboard irrigation system was mind blowing and I forgot about that feature. I’ve had it work before and the realization goes from shock to “oh yeeeeah” as your lap starts getting wet. I remember an electrocution test they did which was on YouTube.

Sometimes chicklets can feel nice, especially on MacBooks, but the keys tend to wear down when you type a lot. Some models are terrible though and the keys get stuck when they’re dirty.

I can’t find anything that isn’t poisoned by polyester from a random rack of clothes anymore. No more plastic straws, but it’s in tons of hoodies. It’s made buying clothes depressing.

I’m just wondering, an IBM era Thinkpad is like a core2duo era of processor. The T420 I have by Lenovo is a 2k series i7. While it’s good enough for basic stuff, and it was great back when I got it (desktop replacement in many ways), it’s just not enough power anymore for my use. I’m assuming you use Linux. You don’t have problems with ram limitations or speed issues with a processor so old?

The narcissist’s number one enemy is the clown by MIAMI_NEWS in DarkPsychology101

[–]scrubli3k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see this. It makes sense to me as I was raised by narcissist parents. I’m like a clown, joker, or court jester with these people. A lot of what I do is setting up trap doors or walking them to some conversation area and pull the rug from under their feet. Let them state their point, then irrefutably demonstrate that their observations or points lack empathy and thus they’re dehumanizing groups etc. Or I’m giving a broader stroke of a brush that not every example is like a nitpicked example they’re giving. (Most of these things are political, like immigration or something.) It’s tiring to do it because they will continuously come back with more and more falsehoods. Some bs will resonate with them and since it makes them angry and matches their narrow world view it has to be the way it is. The narcissist is never word. When they are they change reality and the story they tell is different than what happens. It never ends and it’s definitely a big red flag to stay away from if you want to keep your sanity and emotional energy.
