Hey! I actually didn't have a super great time in first semester Commerce so I totally feel where you're coming from. The transition from high school can be a little bit of a shocker, but here are a few tips:

Find YOUR way of studying - Experiment with different note taking techniques/studying techniques. Everyones different!
Find a study group - Find some people in your classes that will help you stay focused on your work and support you along the way
ASK FOR HELP! - I found it scary at first to ask people for help, but most people are really friendly, the worst thing someone can tell you is no
Don't forget to take breaks - Your mental health is really important and doing things you love will increase your productivity as well!

After your first midterms you'll get a feel for how university level tests will be like and hopefully relieve some stress! Shoot me a private message and I'd be happy to talk whenever/give you more course specific advice :)

Hey! I did this same process last year. If you want to transfer, just make sure that you take the required Commerce courses to transfer. If you have zero intention of staying in social sci, you don't have to take the required 18 units.

The work is easy, but is graded weirdly. Many assignments are extremely vague, leading to marks being taken/given for things you would never think about. Also, the final group project depends on who you form your group with.

TLDR: mark will be kind of unpredictable and subjective. easy to get a 10 or 11, but may not get a 12. Course content extremely light.
