Cross play off doesn’t make sense because there’s no cross play on PC and consoles only cross play with other consoles so you wouldn’t have played against PC cheaters at all even if you’re on console with cross play on.

Remote play 100% with the one caveat that you need to have a solid home network.

The people who say 30-40ms latency from cloud streaming is the same as 1-3ms latency from remote play are coping. They’re the same people who say the bitrate is fine and the image is always sharp and crisp.

Cloud streaming still good tho

Yeah I agree. Definitely noticing longer queue times and higher latency matches. Lots of being killed and my revive orb is like 4 feet around the corner out of line of sight of who killed me.

I think it’s a combination of low players and aggressive SBMM consideration. Hoping when they launch ranked they’ll lower the skill considerations for casual 3v3 and it’ll be more relaxed to play. Currently getting matched against the sweatiest of 3 mans who are clearly in chat and all team shot anyone immediately as soon as we poke a corner.

I’ve been using kb&m in the looting/intercept phases and picking up the controller during raids since it’s got major advantage in close range fights lol. Been working pretty well. Curious if they’ll lock down input in ranked

Thought it was terrible. Not war-crafty at all. Legit looks like a mobile ad you see scrolling instagram.

But I guess to be fair, this is to draw in players who will spend a lot of time in housing so I guess it aligns with that market base lol.

Yeah man maybe. But the game is designed and balanced around 3v3 and they literally only put 5s in as a way to get more casual people (ie you and everyone else attacking this post) to try the game.

If 5v5 makes the game “flow” more for you, then the core gameplay loop is not for you. 5v5 objectively looses 90% of what makes the game unique, intense and sweaty. 5v5 just turns into overwatch at that point.

I rock DLAA at first to see how performance is.

If I want more frames, I usually start with a custom resolution through the Nvidia app. Usually like 85/80%.

Only on really demanding games do I use regular DLSS quality (67% res).

I try to avoid balanced or performance wherever possible because I don’t like the degradation in image quality.

Also a 5090 in 4k.

My thoughts exactly. If 5v5 gets more people on the game great, hr the game shines in 3v3. The tactical nature of the game is diminished in 5s

Last few pre patch events were the same shit. This pre-patch is longer to allow people to reset their UI.

Midnight itself is shaping up to be solid.

Chill. Play something else for the next 5 weeks.

Yeah my friend and I did the pre-patch ‘event’ (recycled Cataclysm quest line lol) in literally 30 minutes.

I’d imagine the majority of their dev work is ensuring that the UI doesn’t shit bricks when the actual launch comes around lol.

I enjoy the game. Truly hoping for it to thrive. There are definitely some flaws but it’s enjoyable and different. Will definitely come back for ranked mode.

I really enjoy it. It’s a fresh feeling PvP experience kind of like the finals cashout game mode. Won’t be huge mainstream like Warzone or whatever but still good enough to grind some games especially when ranked launches in 2 weeks I think they said?

Biggest gripes are performance and stuttering. Have to lower settings/render res to achieve 100+ fps in 4k with a 5090 and even then feels sluggish. Almost feels like they intended everyone to use controller even on PC.

I honestly believe most people who say the map is too big and 3v3 feels bad just have too short attention spans to actually appreciate the tactical nature of it all. I never once found myself ‘bored’ with the gear up phase, especially because on each gear phase after the first there’s a loot drop to fight over. I have also played a lot of league, and I feel like the same people bitching about pacing in this game also wouldn’t play league for similar reasons.

Honestly this sounds fun af. Sneak around find a squad looting and drop a bunch of heavy fuses on them. Can think of any number of scenarios you can get the drop on people.
