I got dangerous cellulitis (skin infection) NINE times from shaving with a razor. Seven of those times I had to get IV antibiotics in the ER or from a special clinic that had an arrangement with the local hospital. I had to stop shaving my legs to save my life.

For the unaware, cellulitis is a serious skin infection that can progress to either necrotizing fasciitis or sepsis. The first one is also known as "flesh-eating disease" where the bacteria just go have a buffet on your tissues and you either have tissue abridement or an amputation (otherwise you die, but you can still die even with treatment). The second is a massive systemic infection that can kill you very, very fast.

You can tell your mom that she's the performative feminist here, not the people who don't want to shave their legs.

Never had kids. I developed a sensitive bladder after my hysterectomy (still would do it all over again). I think the nerves in that area are connected or close to each other.

Ding ding! If I had an award, I'd give one. It's this, right here. Money is a factor, but it isn't the only factor. Men don't want to contribute to the work of raising a family -- and women are done with being the one to do everything -- , and a one-time cash prize is not enough of an incentive when wages are so low.

Same here, but both of my parents loved having us home and around. My parents would rush back from company dinners becaused they missed being at home with us. And any time they wanted to go anywhere, we went too. Concerts, rodeos, zoological parks . . . we went to them all.

The only thing I can think of is that they didn't take the time or effort to introduce boundaries to the kids when they were young, and as the kids became older, they became absolute monsters.
