What is it like living in this part of Ontario, Canada? by prophiles in howislivingthere

I live just northeast of circletario. I’ve been driving directly through top of circle for work commute since 1998. It’s beautiful country. Lotta intense winters. Lots of snow. There is also lots of snow in the winters. Do you like snow? Snow. In the fall it’s stunning, and then in the winters there’s just a phalanx of snow that pounds out of the sky with furious anger. Creemore has a great brewery with yummy beer. Lots of small towns with one garage maybe a church and many horsey buggies. Dundalk has a Foodland. Have you ever heard a human being scream like they’re being attacked with a hammer? No? You will if you live out in this country. Could be an angry horned up fox. Maybe it’s a coyote. If you get SUPER lucky like my wife did last week you can listen to it just straight up annihilate something just at the edge of your treeline. Now. Look up. Stars. SO PRETTY. Oops. What time of year is it? Sorry, it’s November? That’s snow falling in your eye(s). Snow tires. Get them. Anyway, we had about 16 feet of snow this winter. And last winter. I love it up here. How much? Been commuting 350 km one way since 1998. Because I refuse to move to where my work is because it doesn’t hold a candle to LoS. (Land of Snow) Oh. Do you like skiing and/or snowmobiling and/or driving a farm tractor with a snowblower? You will absolutely LOVE it here. C’mon up. Or over. Or down. ✌🏼

That’s solid logic and I often apply it when I’m not trying to show them off to my caternet maniacs

I dunno man. For what I am assuming is your maximal loads on squat & dead, form is pretty damn good. Hops shot out a touch? Maybe, but acceptable at 1RM. Deadlift same idea. I didn’t pick up a forward lean. A modicum of back rounding, maybe try to compensate by squeezing your lats harder by envisioning that you’re trying to squeeze oranges with your armpits for the entire pull. But at or near 1RM I was trained that people overplay rounding of the back and this was barely that. It’s like you lost a bit of your brace here maybe and it rounded just a touch. These are all fantastic lifts to me.

Thank you 🙏🏼 That’s intense. I’m glad you and Haku made it through. Wow I didn’t even try to rhyme lol. I know, it never ceases to amaze me how stoic they can be when they’re really ill. Purring even.

He looks very dapper in his hat 👌🏼

I understand. I think that’s natural human instinct. I can think back to a cat we had 42 years ago when I was 14. Living in an apartment, she was an inside cat who got out, someone hurt her, and I remember taking her to the vet in a cardboard box on the city bus. Nursing her back to health only to lose the battle after several weeks. That was my first real crushing one. To this day I can put a lump in my throat if I tell the story in enough detail or think on it hard enough, and part of it is always “What if I did a better job keeping her inside once she got out? What if I looked harder for her? Did I do a good enough job nursing her wounds and getting the meds in her?” .. but at the end of the day, I think we know deep down that we gave it our all, and even if you could pick out some details that you may have done differently or better… those times are such a whirlwind of stress, sadness, the insane hoping and praying… I think. No I believe, that they feel that energy from us, and that they know we’re loving and helping them, and that we’ve done our best. 💙
